Lirio is an associate at Pérez Llorca, she has been an integral part of the Intellectual Property practice at our firm since 2006. She currently leads our Patent area, boasting over 15 years of extensive experience in this field.

Her main area of expertise is legal advice on patents, issuance of opinions on patentability, processing of patents, utility models, and industrial designs in Mexico and abroad, she also collaborates on patent litigation matters. Additionally, she handles management of international portfolios of trademarks, and she provides general advice on the registration of distinctive signs, copyrights, reservation of rights, domain names, franchises, licensing of intellectual property, plant varieties, and industrial secrets.

Lirio has a strong educational background, including a Law degree (J.D. equivalent) from Universidad La Salle, Mexico City, in 2005. She furthered her expertise with a Diploma in International Business from Escuela Libre de Derecho, Mexico City, in 2005. In pursuit of her passion for international trade, she earned a Master’s degree in Business and International Trade from Universidad de las Américas, Mexico City, between 2008 and 2010. Her commitment to intellectual property law is evident through her Postgraduate Degree in Intellectual Property from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in 2011, and a Diploma in Intellectual Property from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in Mexico City, in 2019.
