Alric Ofenheimer

Alric A. Ofenheimer is managing partner. He is an internationally recognized specialist in private and real-estate-related mergers and acquisitions. He regularly represents Austrian and foreign clients in corporate transactions in Austria and abroad. He regularly advises financial institutions, manufacturing companies, media companies, and IT companies. Alric Ofenheimer represents public and private companies, including multinational corporations, funds, family-owned companies, financial institutions, and medium-sized companies. Alric Ofenheimer has extensive experience in joint ventures for the development of urban neighborhoods and large-scale real estate. Furthermore, he has been involved with legal tech tools for several years, co-founded the Legal Tech Hub Europe, and leads E+H’s digitalization group.

Andreas Zellhofer

Andreas Zellhofer is head of the IP/IT Law practice group. He advises clients on the enforcement of claims arising from unfair competition (UWG) and intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, design, and patent law), as well as in the areas of IT and data protection law. For years, he has advised and represented domestic and international companies in proceedings concerning antitrust law, abuse of a dominant position, merger control, and state aid. He also assists clients in conducting internal investigations and implementing compliance programs.

Arndt Blaschka focuses on real estate and land transactions, real estate development, public-private partnerships, and infrastructure projects. He also regularly advises in the areas of restructuring and M&A.

Christian Jöllinger

Dr. Christian Jöllinger is a partner in the Banking + Finance, Restructuring + Insolvency, and Capital Markets practice groups. He advises banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and companies on securitizations, structured finance, portfolio transactions, bank loans, regulatory law, and financial sanctions. Christian has extensive experience in regulatory capital instruments, credit risk mitigation techniques, securities law (with a particular focus on covered bonds regulation and custody law), derivative financial instruments, and insolvency law.

Dieter Thalhammer

Dieter Thalhammer is managing partner and head of the Competition and Antitrust Law practice group. Nationally, he is one of the leading experts for European and Austrian antitrust law. Dieter Thalhammer represents domestic and international clients in proceedings for merger control, cartel allegations, abuse of a dominant position, and damages following antitrust violations. He also has extensive experience in conducting internal investigations and implementing antitrust compliance programs. Under his leadership, the Competition and Antitrust practice group at E+H has become one of the strongest in Austria. Over the past ten years, Dieter Thalhammer has represented clients in various industries including transport, automotive, media, energy, postal, telecommunications, chemical, real estate, finance, healthcare, food, and electronics. Dieter Thalhammer also has specific expertise in antitrust issues in the digital economy.

Dominik Juster is a member of our practice groups Corporate + M&A, Restructuring + Insolvency, Capital Markets, and Banking + Finance. He focuses on M&A / private equity, restructuring, and capital market transactions.

Florian Sagmeister

Florian Sagmeister practices in the areas of unfair competition (UWG), distribution systems, state aid law, IP law (copyright, trademark law, and protection of personality), and contract drafting.

Georg Knafl has extensive experience and expertise in public law, especially in administrative and regulatory law. He advises clients on a wide range of regulatory matters and assists them in complex projects.

Helena Neuner advises on domestic and international real estate and M&A transactions, with a special focus on the hotel and leisure sector. Helena has consulted both owners and operators on leases, rentals, and management agreements in the hotel industry. Jana Eichmeyer is managing partner and heads the Employment Law and Dispute Resolution practice groups. She advises and represents clients in contentious proceedings, settlement discussions, and in all aspects of labor and social security law. Her expertise is particularly sought after in restructuring measures, executive employment contracts, works constitution matters, and all issues of employment and civil litigation. Jochen Anweiler heads the firm’s Brussels office. He advises clients in investigations by, and represents clients in merger control proceedings before, the European Commission and the Austrian competition authorities. He coordinates leniency applications and merger notifications in several jurisdictions, and advises on state aid law (including in connection with company divestitures by public authorities).

Johannes Feilmair

Johannes Feilmair practices in the areas of corporate/M&A, venture capital/private equity, and real estate law. He has extensive experience in advising domestic and international clients on complex M&A and real estate transactions, as well as infrastructure and energy projects. In real estate law, he particularly focuses on joint ventures in urban development. Johannes Feilmair has special expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and has been representing private equity investors and biotech companies in these areas for many years.

Josef Schmidt advises on capital markets law, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings. Josef Schmidt already worked as an associate in the E+H practice groups Banking + Finance and Corporate + M&A.

Judith Feldner represents clients in merger control and antitrust proceedings before the European Commission and the Austrian competition authorities, advises and represents clients in investment control proceedings, and offers compliance training and advice on compliance programs.

Karoline Maria Hofmann

Karoline Maria Hofmann specializes in advising creditors and debtors in crisis situations and restructurings, and advises on distressed M&A transactions. Furthermore, she brings wide-ranging experience in advising on international financing transactions. Where corporate and financing law intersect, she frequently advises domestic and international clients on transactions in the real estate and hotel industry, as well as in the energy sector.
