Coen Thomas
Coen Thomas is a partner in the corporate law group. Coen represents developers, sponsors, investors, financiers and market parties in relation to the development of (large) projects, with a focus on the energy sector. Coen has extensive experience with innovative commercial contracts and has also worked on service contracts to support the transition to the circular economy. Before moving to Stek in 2021, Coen worked as a lawyer at Allen & Overy and NautaDutilh and in-house as Managing Counsel Projects EMEA at Shell.

Gerben is a every inch a litigator who stands out because of his solution-driven approach. Gerben’s practice covers the full range of corporate and commercial dispute resolution, with an emphasis on contractual liability, discovery proceedings, banking and finance litigation and follow-on (cartel) damage claims. Gerben has particular strengths in contract law and has ample experience acting for financial institutions and global (listed) companies active in the transportation, leisure, retail and industry sectors. He represents his clients in both local courts and before (international) arbitration tribunals.

Jan Bart van de Hel
Jan Bart is an expert in commercial and corporate dispute resolution. His practice covers the entire range of dispute resolution, with a focus on banking and finance litigation, director’s and professional liability, M&A related disputes and follow-on (cartel) damage claims. Jan Bart has extensive experience in large corporate investigations. He advises various (listed) companies and financial institutions on corporate and obligatory issues and liability. Jan Bart was a senior lawyer in the Litigation & Arbitration and Banking & International Capital Markets departments of Allen & Overy. Jan Bart publishes regularly and is a lecturer at the Law Firm School on discovery and evidence. He is also a lecturer at the Nyenrode Business University and a member of the Corporate Litigation Association and the Dutch Association for Procedural Law.
Max Hetterscheidt

Max is counsel in the dispute resolution department of Stek. He has ample experience in cross border litigation & arbitration. His practice covers the full range of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on contractual and tort-law liability, the enforcement of court orders and private international law. Max regularly acts as counsel in (international) arbitration. Max is a board member of the young practitioner’s committee of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute and a member of the Corporate Disputes Committee of the Dutch Arbitration Association. Max is recommended in the Legal 500 EMEA 2019, 2021 and 2022 for Commercial Litigation.

Reijnoud Homveld
Reijnoud is a partner in Stek's corporate group and has ample experience with M&A transactions. His expertise includes private equity and strategic deals in the mid-market/large corporates segment, both national as well as international (often in close cooperation with leading international law firms). Also, Reijnoud has a strong energy projects practice. He advised on a range of E&P, gas, heat, power and renewables projects, including geothermal, solar, wind and biomass projects.

Ruben Tros
Ruben is a partner in Stek's corporate group and has ample experience with M&A transactions.. He advises private equity firms, corporates and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and corporate governance. He also regularly works with international law firms on cross-border transactions. Ruben has particular expertise in private equity transactions and transactions in the information technology-sector. Ruben also acts for W&I insurers in transactions involving W&I insurance.

Sharon Kaufmann is a partner in Stek's finance group. She specializes in banking and finance with a focus on hospital financing, project financing and real estate and asset based financing transactions. Key clients in this area are ABN Amro Bank, BNG, Deutsche Bank, ING Bank and Rabobank. Before she joined Stek in 2012, Sharon was an associate in the banking & finance and insolvency departments at Houthoff Buruma. Sharon regularly teaches, amongst others in the field of insolvency law.
Simon Boersen
Simon Boersen
Simon is a determined and experienced litigator. His practice covers the full range of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on contractual and tort-law liability, and the enforcement of court orders. His extensive experience includes cases involving fraud, contractual disputes, competition litigation, corporate transaction disputes, and cross-border enforcement. Simon has a particular interest in private international law and procedural law. He regularly contributes to legal journals on these areas of law and also teaches in several post-academic programs for legal professionals.
Veii Jacobs
Veii Jacobs
Veii Jacobs is  partner in the Regulatory department of Stek. She is an administrative law expert and advises on and litigates in predominantly energy law matters (renewables, heat, electricity and gas) and environmental law matters (environmental regulations and spatial planning). Veii represents clients in administrative procedures vis-à-vis competent authorities and regulators and she works closely together with the Corporate/M&A department of Stek on energy projects transactions.
