Position

Head of the Real Estate, Planning and Construction department Avi Porten is widely recognized as a central figure in Israel in the fields of land, real estate and planning and construction. With a long and successful track record in a range of real estate, planning and construction issues, Avi advises and oversees the whole process for clients seeking approvals from the different planning and construction committees.

He acts for an extensive array of clients including major developers of residential and commercial projects, transportation, energy, hotel companies, private land owners and developers, various government companies' local planning committees and local municipalities.

These clients draw on Avi's unparalleled expertise, stemming from numerous roles, including: Head of the Planning and Building department in The Interior Ministry's Legal department; Legal adviser to the district planning and construction committees; Legal adviser to the Planning Administration’s planning guidelines and regulations department, and many more. 

Avi joined Agmon as a partner in 2006.
