Success in the court of appeal: INTEGRITES protected interests of one of the leading Ukrainian vegetable oil producers in the UAH 25 mln tax dispute

INTEGRITES protected interests of one of the leading Ukrainian producers of sunflower and rapeseed oils at the administrative court of appeal in the UAH 25 mln tax dispute against the Office of Major Taxpayers of the State Tax Service.

The court of appeal upheld the decision of the court of first instance, due to the defense strategy developed by the Tax and Customs practice team of the firm.

Back in 2020, INTEGRITES had won the case in favour of this client at the court of first instance. All tax assessment notices for the amount of UAH 25 million had then been cancelled in full. Additionally, the allegations used by the tax authority to recognize certain business transactions of the client on purchase of vegetable seeds fictitious had been recognized as ungrounded.

Led by Partner and Head of Tax and Customs at INTEGRITES Viktoriya Fomenko, the team working to protect the client’s interests at the court of appeal included Senior Associate Kostiantyn Kharchenko and Junior Associate Vitalii Labadin.
