Bevan Brittan’s established Central & Local Government practice supports London Boroughs as well as city and councils across the country. Its expert team is particularly experienced at advising on development and infrastructure projects and is regularly instructed to handle the construction, procurement, and property aspects of educational and cultural projects.

Recent Central & Local Government work has included supporting on Bristol’s £95m Temple Quarter regeneration project, whilst the team also gained Strategic Legal Partner appointments with Wolverhampton City Council and the West of England Combined Authority.

In recent years the business has achieved growth across a number of emerging markets.

In Energy & Resource Management, the team advised Boom Power on a 400MW solar farm in East Yorkshire, Birmingham City Council on their £490m Waste PPP project, and Legal & General on a district energy project in London.

Work within Higher Education included advising a FTSE 100 global education company on a strategic disposal and securing appointment to the University of Plymouth’s legal panel through the Crown Commercial Service framework.

In Financial Services, experts supported on a multi-million pound project with NS&I and secured reappointment to advise the Financial Conduct Authority.
