Iustinian Captariu is a Partner and the head of the local Energy & Natural Resources and Competition & State-Aid Practices. He focuses on energy & natural resources, environment and regulatory (including pharma regulatory), competition & state aid, infrastructure & projects, M&A, and joint ventures. He has an experience of over 14 years in advising clients on all aspects of energy law, including energy M&A, joint-ventures, reorganisations, licensing and regulatory matters, long term contracts, trading related issues and also public procurement procedures involving energy companies. He has significant experience acting for large companies in relation to the whole spectrum of competition law matters including cartels, dawn raids, abuse of dominant position, merger notifications, State aid etc. 

Iustinian Captariu joined Kinstellar in 2009 as Associate, was appointed Counsel in 2016 and Partner in 2017.

Iustinian Captariu is fluent in English, and native in Romanian.

Iustin is a Member of the Romanian Union of Lawyers and of the Bucharest Bar Association.

Iustin graduated from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, LL.B. in 2007.
