The firm: Pavia e Ansaldo is an independent Italian law firm with a strong international orientation and practice.
The firm traces its origins back to 1961 when it was founded in Milan by Enrico L Pavia and Giuseppe Ansaldo.
Today, Pavia e Ansaldo has over 130 professionals and offices in Milan, Rome, Turin, Barcelona, Madrid, Moscow and Tokyo.
From its establishment, Pavia e Ansaldo chose independence but maintained steady relationships with the major law firms in the main foreign jurisdictions, selected according to their specific expertise in their respective practice areas in order to provide top-quality cross-border services, tailored to the needs of the clients.
Areas of practice: With over 130 lawyers in 22 specialised departments, Pavia e Ansaldo provides advice and assistance to its clients in all areas of business law.
Each department, under the guidance of one or more partners, is autonomous and independent, yet perfectly integrated with all the others to provide, where necessary, seamless multidisciplinary assistance tailor-made to individual requirements.
The firm has created a specific department for each area of practice, made up of lawyers with thorough, in-depth understanding and consolidated experience in their particular field. Foreign desks: the firm’s international dimension, which has been one of its distinguishing features from the very outset, has been enhanced through the years by the creation of seven foreign desks (US – Spain – Russia and CIS Countries – Japan – Middle East and Turkey – Africa – China), where specialised teams provide legal advice and support both to Italian clients with interests in foreign markets, and foreign clients from those countries with interests in Italy.
