Career

Jo acts for both private and corporate clients and although well versed in all areas of employment law, she specialises in senior executive and partner exits, tribunal and High Court litigation and partnership disputes.  She also advises on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and has established a reputation in the field of discrimination and whistleblowing, having acted for senior partner, Leslie Seldon, in the leading Supreme Court age discrimination case of Seldon v Clarkson Wright and Jakes, Ryta Kuzel in the whistleblowing case of Kuzel v Roche Products and His Highness Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi in the whistleblowing case of Robinson v Al Qasimi.

Jo has spoken on a variety of employment law issues on the radio, TV and in seminars.  She is also frequently quoted in the legal press for her views on developments on employment law issues. She commented on the furlough scheme for publications such as the Daily Express and the Chartered Institute of Management.

Jo acts for corporate and high net worth private clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters as well as specialising in corporate support and transactional work.

Reported decisions include Kuzel v Roche Products Limited, Seldon v Clarkson Wright and Jakes.

Jo trained at Barth & Partners, London; qualified 1990; worked in London, High Wycombe and Chelmsford before joining B P Collins; partner 2000.
