Career

Luigi joined the firm in 1994 and worked alongside his grandfather Albert W. Salomone for 14 years.  In 2008, Luigi became the firm's CEO.  With a wealth of knowledge built up over almost 30 years of experience, he is an expert on all aspects of intellectual property law, including anti-counterfeiting matters, trademark infringement and patent prosecution, amongst others.

Memberships

Luigi is a member of INTA, ECTA, MARQUES, AIPPI, EPI, MACM, PTMG and ITMA.  He is currently the  Chair of the ECTA anti-counterfeiting committee and a Committee Member of the INTA (EU) anti-counterfeiting committee.  Moreover, he has represented Malta at the Council of the European Patent Insititute (EPI) since 2014.

Education

Luigi completed a Bachelor's in Laws at the University of Buckingham in 1989 and subsequently completed the LL.D. programme at the University of Malta in 1994.  He was admitted to the Maltese Bar in 1996.
