Legal Director and Head of Insured Litigation

Stuart is a senior lawyer and the overall Head of the Commercial Disputes teams across the whole of rradar.  He is based at rradar’s Hull head office and qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has specialised in litigation almost from the outset. 

Stuart has been with rradar since 2013 and has ushered the teams through an unparalleled period of growth, change and development. Stuart has, from a standing start, developed two large and reputable commercial disputes teams equipped to cover all the key areas and disciplines necessary to fully service the needs of rradar’s clients. The litigation teams lawyers now span three locations with there being strength in depth at each to render them capable of delivering the varied legal work that presents given the nature of source of that work. 

Stuart’s key expertise is in insurance-backed commercial litigation, acting for a very wide span of entities from high street names to major international clients as well as small to medium-sized businesses. He maintains a role of overseeing all coverage decisions across the teams.  

In relation to the work he does for clients, Stuart is known for his practical, hands-on approach to resolving commercial issues. Clients particularly praise him for his technically adept and commercially astute advice.
