Career

Armando has more than 25 years of experience providing advice to companies in industries such as technology, retail, pharmaceuticals, and energy on international tax issues, including tax planning and its structure, operations, and transactions. He has extensive experience on the application of tax treaties, preferential tax regimes (REFIPRES per its acronym in Spanish) and accreditation of taxes paid abroad. He has also been an external consultant in international tax matters at the World Bank Group (WB), United Nations (UN), the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT per its acronym in Spanish) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Armando is speaker and he also writes on international tax topics. He is the author of an analysis of the 2015 Common Reporting Standards (CRS) and contributed to the UN tax model update in 2011.
