Azan Marwah
Azan Marwah
Azan was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2012 and was appointed as a Judicial Assistant to the Court of Final Appeal in the same year. Upon returning to practice in 2013, he was awarded the Middle Temple Advocacy Scholarship. Azan practices as a barrister in a broad spectrum of civil litigation, with particular focus on public law and family litigation, especially in cases involving child custody, ancillary relief, inheritance and probate, adoption, judicial review, election petitions, discrimination, wardship, and international child abduction. He is ranked by Doyle’s in its list of Leading Family & Divorce Law Barristers. Azan is available to conduct mediation, private FDRs and Private Adjudication under PDSL9. Azan has an advisory and investigations practice. He acts as an independent external misconduct investigator for corporate entities. He has also drafted several Bills for debate before the Legislative Council. He currently sits as a chairman on the Appeal Tribunal Panel (Buildings). Azan is author and editor of several leading legal texts and is regularly asked to lecture in law, history and medical ethics. He is currently appointed as a Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong. He is the General Editor and Author of the Hong Kong Family Court Tables. Out of court, Azan is committed to child protection, family and children’s rights. He is the current chair of the Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights, and acts as honorary legal advisor to Mother's Choice and Hong Kong Marriage Equality. Azan is a keen sportsman and advises on sports disputes and regulation. He founded the Working Group on Sports Arbitration, as well as the Sports Law Committee of the Hong Kong Bar Association.  He gives seminars and talks on sports law and arbitration. Harrison Cheung
Harrison worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and then switched his career and became a barrister. His main area of practice is construction-related litigation, arbitration and mediation, but he also works frequently on commercial contractual disputes and other general matters. Isaac commenced full practice in 2015 after completing his pupillage with Mr. Clement Lau, Mr. Liu Man Kin (now District Judge MK Liu), Mr. Erik Shum and Mr. Derek Chan (now Derek Chan SC).   He maintains a broad practice across the full spectrum of civil disputes including, but not limited to, trust and probate, land disputes, nuisance claims, building management disputes, personal injuries, defamation, and other general commercial disputes.  He also has experience in providing legal opinions for companies proposed for listing.   In particular, he has developed a keen interest in probate and trust matters.  He has represented and advised executors, administrators and beneficiaries in administration actions, removal actions and Beddoe applications.  One of the estates in which he has advised on was worth over HK$1.0 billion.   Isaac also has experience in handling defamation cases, several of which involved very high-profile public figures.   Isaac has appeared as an advocate (either in his own right or as a led junior) in statutory appeal boards, the District Court, Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal. Ronald Pang
Ronald Pang
Ronald has a broad civil practice spanning all areas of the law with an emphasis on commercial and chancery work, in particular arbitration, probate and estate administration, land, construction and company law.  Prior to entering the Hong Kong Bar, he was trained as a solicitor and studied civil engineering/computer science in Australia. As to Ronald’s experience, he has experience dealing with disputes relating to estate administration, probate and trusts, land and easements, construction, company disputes, intellectual property, both international and domestic arbitration, matrimonial law, defamation, mental health, personal and corporate insolvency, shipping, professional negligence, personal injury, building management, and sales of goods.   Apart from his civil practice, Ronald is also developing a practice in public law.  Recently, he was part of the counsel team that sought the sanctioning of the scheme to privatize Allied Properties (HK) Limited.  On the ADR side, Ronald is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has experience with matters relating to both arbitration and mediation. In respect to arbitrations, he has experience as counsel and as tribunal assistant in both domestic and international arbitrations involving construction, shipping, sale of goods and commodities disputes primarily involving HKIAC Rules or UNCITRAL rules. Shaphan Marwah
Shaphan Marwah
Shaphan was called to the bar in 2014.  He is both a barrister and mediator. His practice covers all areas of civil law, including matrimonial law as well as commercial disputes and advisory work.​ Shaphan is ranked as one of Hong Kong’s top junior counsel in family law by Doyle’s Guide and is an executive committee member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association (HKFLA). He is also an experienced mediator in family and children’s matters and acts as an advocate in mediations and private Financial Dispute Resolution hearings (FDRs). Shaphan’s civil practice covers all areas of commercial litigation and advisory work, including company law, insolvency, contractual disputes, complex commercial frauds, cross-border disputes, regulatory and disciplinary issues, and employment matters. Shaphan acts as counsel in commercial arbitrations. Shaphan contributes to several leading legal reference texts, including Hong Kong Civil Court Practice and Archbold, and is co-author of the Hong Kong Family Court Tables (www.duxburyetc.com) and Hong Kong Family Court Practice (2nd edition).  Shaphan has an L.L.M. in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University, and has previously lectured on commercial law at the master’s level.
