Career

Kemal Kumkumoğlu graduated from Galatasaray University Law Faculty, one of most prestigious law schools in Türkiye, and admitted to Istanbul Bar Association in 2013. In his early career, Kemal worked in three of Türkiye’s leading law firms, and in 2018, he completed his master’s degree on «Law and Digital Technologies» at Leiden University, Netherlands. Kemal is among the founding partners of our firm.

Kemal mainly specializes on criminal law matters as he advised to prominent individuals, national and international companies in several criminal law cases. Kemal also has extensive experience on IT law and sports law matters, as he advised to the public institutions and sports federations in dispute resolution and law-making processes and conducted data protection compliance projects for several companies in Türkiye.

Taking an active role in NGOs, Kemal is a member of Central Executive Board of the Turkish Informatics Association, and a substitute board member of the Turkish Criminal Law Association as well as the Sports Law Institute. He also continues to contribute to the studies on emerging technologies such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and crypto technologies within the Istanbul Bar Association IT Law Commission and its AI Working Group.
