Partner Amal has graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Jordan in 2002, Amal specializes in Commercial, Banking and Corporate litigation before the UAE Courts. She was admitted before all courts of the UAE and has significant experience in the legal departments of several banks in the UAE since 2003. Her areas of expertise also include Intellectual Property, Real Estate and Arbitration.

Amr Bajamal

Amr is a founding partner at NHB LEGAL, wielding an extensive legal background. His expertise is anchored in a unique blend of experiences—having navigated both common law and civil law systems due to his education in the United Kingdom, being admitted as an attorney in New York, and amassing 17 years of practice in the UAE. Throughout his career, he was deeply involved in litigation and arbitration across diverse sectors encompassing real estate development, banking, construction, and family offices. Amr has led high-stakes disputes involving shareholders, intricate jurisdictional matters, cross-border white-collar investigations, and asset recovery. His profound insights and hands-on strategies have positioned him as a trusted advisor to numerous international law firms, both in Dubai and abroad. He frequently serves as a UAE law expert in arbitration and court proceedings spanning Dubai, the United Kingdom, Canada and France. Furthermore, Amr takes charge as a seasoned counsel in cases overseen by major regional institutions like the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).

Elhassan Abdelrazek

Elhassan boasts over 16 years of expansive expertise across multiple Middle Eastern jurisdictions, including the UAE, Kuwait, and Egypt. His focus lies in specialized areas such as banking and finance, commercial transactions, corporate law, and commercial matters. He earned his BA in Law from Cairo University's Faculty of Law (English Department) and furthered his legal acumen with an LLM degree from the Indiana University School of Law, specializing in International and Comparative Law. As a key contributor within teams, Elhassan played an integral role in orchestrating numerous pivotal banking and finance transactions for SHUAA Capital PSC in both the UAE and the broader GCC region. His career spanned over a decade within prominent private practice firms in the region, where he represented major GCC and international clients. Notable among these were institutions such as National Bank of Kuwait, JP Morgan, Warba Bank, Emirates NBD, Buobyan Bank, Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Gulf Bank, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Kharafi National, and Rasameel Structured Finance, engaging in high-profile transactions. His expertise extends across a spectrum of services, offering comprehensive advisory in areas including M&A, banking and finance, debt restructuring, real estate, corporate and commercial law, insolvency and bankruptcy, corporate structuring, and tax consultation.

Evelina Gurtskaya

Associate - Dispute Resolution Evelina Gurtskaya is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at NHB Legal. She has experience representing high-net-worth individuals and multinational corporations in complex, high-value disputes. Evelina received her legal training and qualification in London, UK, where she gained valuable experience working with clients across various sectors and industries. She has a strong understanding of her clients' interests and how businesses operate. Prior to joining NHB Legal, she worked at a top 100 law firm in the UK, where she handled national and international corporate transactions, including venture capital and mergers and acquisitions. Evelina has extensive international experience and is fluent in both English and Russian. She brings a unique perspective and cultural understanding to her work at NHB Legal.

Ibrahim Salaheldin

Associate – Dispute Resolution & Advisory Ibrahim is a highly-regarded associate with extensive experience aiming to propose optimal legal strategies with regard to client objectives, and best interests. His practice focuses on handling Civil, Labor, and Commercial disputes before the local courts across the UAE. His practice areas include compliance, procurement, human resources, and risk management. Ibrahim was involved in the first Social Impact Contracting (SIC) Project in the Gulf Cooperation Countries implemented in Abu Dhabi in 2020. While working on this project Ibrahim drafted a set of unique legal documents in relation to governance which were the foundation stone of the legal framework for the Social Impact Contracting system and its future projects within the private and public sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and UAE.

Mohamed Al Dafrawy

OF Counsel Mohamed Al Dafrawy is a distinguished legal professional with over 55 years of expertise across diverse legal realms. Graduating in 1968, he built an illustrious career in Egypt before moving to Dubai in 2001. His extensive experience spans civil, commercial, and maritime law, highlighted by his pivotal role in a 1-billion-dirham fire insurance case for a prestigious hotel. He's renowned for navigating complex disputes, especially in marine insurance concerning oil shipments. Joining NHB Legal Group in 2023, Mohamed fortified the firm's capabilities. His unwavering commitment to legal excellence and delivering favorable outcomes defines him as respected figure in the legal community.

Mohamed El Sherbiny

Senior Associate –Dispute Resolution Mohamed is one of the leading members of our arbitration and DIFC Courts litigation team. His practice focuses on arbitration in multiple practice areas including representing state-owned enterprises in complex anti-dumping disputes, acting as counsel in ICSID claims between foreign corporations and governments, advising international corporations such as Nokia in relation to regulatory matters as well as acting for a major airline in relation to the recovery of assets. Mohamed has a dynamic approach to handling disputes backed with immense practical knowledge. In addition to his background in civil law, he holds a master's degree in Common Law & Comparative from the Paris Descartes University (Paris V) which provides him with a unique edge in the two universally predominant legal systems. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.

Somya Priyadarshini

Senior Associate – Dispute Resolution Somya is a dual-qualified lawyer licensed to practice in both India and New York, United States. She holds a master's degree in international Arbitration from the University of Miami School of Law. Somya has successfully handled a high volume of international arbitration cases with an impressive success rate. Her expertise spans diverse industries, and she is well-equipped to handle complex, high-stakes arbitration cases. She has represented clients in various dispute resolution forums, including ad-hoc arbitrations and arbitrations under the institutional rules of ICC, DIAC, SIAC, and LCIA. Her experience encompasses cases governed by English, UAE, Omani, Qatari, American, Caribbean and Indian law. Somya specializes in handling construction and infrastructure disputes, with experience in a wide range of projects, including hydro-power projects, luxury hotels, condominiums, residential townships, major airports, public stadiums, commercial building complexes, and restoration of national historical buildings. With over 7 years of experience working in India, the US and the Middle East, Somya has developed a profound understanding of cultural distinctions and a solid background in dispute resolution, bringing invaluable skills and knowledge to the NHB Legal team.
