Dr Nikolaos Tsolakidis is a founding partner of ARKTIK Legal.  His main area of expertise is in national and international litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on highly complex civil law issues, especially
in the areas of reinsurance law, post-M&A, international
sales and distribution law. In addition, he has particular
expertise in international investment arbitration.
He is regularly appointed as an arbitrator and expert in
arbitration proceedings. Leading rankings regularly list him as a ‘top
lawyer for arbitration proceedings’.

Prior to co-founding ARKTIK Legal, Dr Nikolaos Tsolakidis worked for many years for some of the world’s most prestigious international law firms such as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Frankfurt (Germany) and White & Case in Washington, D.C. (USA). His experience also includes a position with the World Bank Group’s Integrity Vice Presidency as a stagiaire in the Special Litigation unit in Washington, D.C. (USA).

Dr Tsolakidis graduated from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt and completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with the University of Miami (USA) and a PhD (summa cum laude) with the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt.
