Andrew Watson
Andrew Watson
Andrew specialises in family law. Originally employed as a non-practising barrister, he qualified as a solicitor in July 2001. Andrew became a partner in June 2012. He is a Resolution accredited specialist in both financial remedies and cohabitation, a member of Lincoln’s Inn. Andrew’s caseload is dominated by financial disputes with an asset base of up to £43m. Andrew tends to focus on the more complex areas of divorce finances, such as those with issues related to confiscation, bankruptcy, non-disclosure or international issues. Andrew also has a niche specialism in the interface between financial proceedings and confiscation proceedings under either the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 or its precursors. He has successfully represented spouses and relatives in a number of cases where the Crown has been seeking to enforce confiscation orders running to many millions. Andrew’s caseload also includes advising parties in cohabitation cases, children cases and in relation to pre-nuptial agreements and the impact that these agreements have in the event of a divorce. Andrew also regularly advises and assists his clients in relation to disputes regarding the care of children. Andrew is a qualified mediator and undertakes family mediation in relation to the implications on finances and on children following separation.

Andrew is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Personal Injury Department. A significant proportion of Andrew’s caseload involves handling claims for injuries sustained by cyclists. He helps cyclists hit by drivers of cars, trucks and buses. He also assists clients who have suffered injuries sustained by riding over potholes, substances left on the road and dangerous cycle paths. Andrew’s other key practice areas are accidents at work, including injuries sustained on building sites and representing pedestrians struck by vehicles in the road. Andrew is also involved in a number of cases involving e-scooters and has previously spoken about the law relating to e-scooters on BBC Radio 4. He always works to achieve outcomes which benefit his clients from the moment he meets them and works to make complicated situations easy to understand. Andrew has gained a wealth of experience dealing with clients who face difficult circumstances. His aim is to make sure clients feel able to relax in very difficult circumstances and to help them gain the compensation they deserve.

Ben Posford is head of catastrophic injuries and an equity partner at Osbornes, and is listed in the major legal directories as a ‘Leading Individual’. He acts exclusively for claimants who have suffered life-changing injuries, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, fatalities, amputations and injuries caused by medical negligence. Ben has a special interest in early rehabilitation issues for the seriously injured, and pursues defendants for initial compensation payments from the outset to establish effective care and therapy regimes. He has a reputation for acting where claimants have complex multi-million pound claims, and is known for his sensitivity and calm manner in his handling of high court litigation.

Guy Osborn
Guy Osborn
Guy is the Head of the Commercial Property and Leasehold Reform departments at Osbornes Law, Guy deals with all aspects of commercial property including acquisitions and sales, the granting of new leases and assignment of existing ones and the 1954 Act renewals and ancillary matters such as licences to sub-let or alter. He acts for both landlords and tenants and handles deals involving a diverse range of property from landmark buildings. Guy also heads up the Leasehold Reform team dealing with lease extensions, enfranchisements and applications for the right to manage on behalf of both landlords and tenants.

Jan specialises in wills, probate and trusts with a focus on wealth planning, high value estate administrations, contested Wills, international estates and contentious probate and trusts cases. Jan and her team are based in the firm's Hampstead and Camden offices. Jan is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and a registered Contentious Trust and Probate Specialist (CTAPS). She is a well known figure in the private client field, in large part as a result of her active role on the Law Society Private Client Section Executive Committee and her membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). Stephanie is head of medical negligence at Osbornes, with a particular focus on child and adult brain injury cases, fatal cases, obstetric and gynaecological cases, ophthalmology and complex spinal injury cases. Stephanie practiced as a registered nurse for over ten years before qualifying as a lawyer brings to the department an in-depth knowledge of medical practice and procedure, which differentiates her from many of other clinical negligence lawyers. Stephanie has chaired and spoken at the AvMA Medicine for Lawyers conference and lectures on clinical negligence to post graduate medical students at Bart's Hospital and to forensic medical examiners for the police. Stephanie also holds a diploma and is an examiner in forensic medical science (DipFMS) and is the legal editor of ;Medicine, Science and the Law; and contributes to the journal by providing quarterly case reports. She also contributes to JPIL bimonthly. She is also an examiner for the Dip(FMS). Stephanie is regularly contacted by the BBC for commentary on clinical negligence-related stories. She has lectured on brain injury resulting from medical negligence to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers .

Stuart is head of Osbornes’ personal injury department and the firm’s joint senior partner. Stuart joined the firm in 1994 in order to specialise in personal injury litigation, and has built a thriving practice in cycling accident claims, head injury and high-value claims, often representing professionals and foreign-based clients. Stuart is passionate about fighting for the rights of accident victims and is heavily involved in the campaigning group the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. He lectures regularly for APIL and in 2010 was appointed a fellow of the organisation.
