Anthony Quin
Having practised in Stirling since 1985, Anthony is one of the firm’s all-rounders, with considerable experience of all aspects of private client work, including domestic and commercial conveyancing, Wills and executries and also civil court work, including family matters, employment, accident claims and title disputes.In acting for a number of generations of families over the years, as well as advising many local businesses, trusts and farming families, his all round experience enables him to take full account of the bigger picture and personally deal with the many different aspects of the legal issues encountered by his clients.Out of the office and having only recently stepped down from coaching junior endurance athletes at the local athletics club he remains an Honorary Life Member of the club as well as enjoying cycling and trying to enjoy playing golf.
Charlie is a Partner, based in Perth, dealing with private client matters with interest in family law. (Instructed solicitor in landmark case of Watt v Watt). Leads business development for the firm and is an anti-money laundering reporting officer. Charlie also oversees the running of our Perth Estate Agents and Dundee Estate Agents

Chris is a Partner in the firm’s flagship property office in Union Street, specialising in property law but also advising clients on all aspects of private client matters including Wills, Trusts and Executries.
David Orr
David is an Associate in Aberdein Considine’s Commercial Real Estate team, based at our Glasgow office. He has more than a decade of experience dealing with all aspects of the sector and has particular expertise in real estate finance and investment. He also has a special interest in fire safety and statutory compliance issues. 
Dougie Telfer
Dougie is the resident Partner in our Shawlands office. He joined Aberdein Considine in 2013 shortly after the opening of the firm’s first office in Glasgow. He has since played a vital role in Aberdein Considine’s continued growth in the city.Dougie specialises in residential conveyancing and he has over ten years' experience of buying and selling properties in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. He is also a qualified mortgage adviser which means he will be able to guide you safely through the buying and selling process.
Elaine is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team and is based in Aberdeen. She trained with the firm, gaining experience in contentious matters including professional negligence, commercial debt recovery, insolvency and landlord and tenant disputes. She developed her knowledge on commercial contracts and corporate law when working in-house as Legal Counsel. Latterly, she has focused on complex recoveries in relation to business and commercial debt. Elaine is an experienced advocate and negotiator, regularly appearing in the Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland in relation to complex substantive hearings and acting for multi-national clients. Elaine is thorough in her approach and has an aptitude for obtaining the best possible outcome for clients.
Eleanor Comfort
Eleanor is an Associate in our Dyce office and advises clients on the sale and purchase of property, conveyancing matters, wills and powers of attorney.  
Euan McSherry
Euan is a Partner in Charge of Aberdein Considine's Dispute Resolution team and provides litigation advice to clients in the retail, food and banking sectors throughout Scotland. He specialises in commercial & corporate and property; and corporate crime. A growing area of his practice is advising clients on reputation management. Euan is a Solicitor Advocate with rights of audience in the Court of Session and the Supreme Court when it sits as the highest court of appeal in Scottish civil cases. He regularly represents clients in courts, arbitrations and mediations. Euan has achieved a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) mediation accreditation and is the first and only Scottish lawyer to be listed on the Register of RICS Accredited Mediators.Euan is an accredited commercial litigator who is ranked for Dispute Resolution and Real Estate Litigation by the leading legal directories. According to market commentators, he is a "sharp litigator".Outside of the office, Euan tutors on the Civil Court Practice course on the Postgraduate Diploma at Edinburgh University; and recently became a dad for the second time.
Gary Ross
Gary is the Partner in charge of the Ellon and Inverurie offices of Aberdein Considine. He specialises in conveyancing and property law but also advises clients on all aspects of private client matters including Wills, Trusts and Executries. He has an in-depth knowledge of the local market having lived and worked in the area for more than 40 years.Gary became a Partner in the firm in 2013.
Gavin Crowe
Gavin is a Partner based at the firm’s Waterloo Street and Byres Road offices in Glasgow, specialising in residential property matters, Wills and Powers of Attorney. Gavin, who was a Partner in the well-known solicitor estate agency firm of A & S Ireland when it merged with Aberdein Considine in May 2016, has over 35 years' experience in the property market in the West of Scotland.
Gemma Perfect
Gemma is an Associate with Aberdein Considine's Commercial Real Estate team and has more than 10 years’ experience in property law. She assists a broad range of clients with property acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, residential developments, bank security and financing, and the acquisition, disposal and refinancing of commercial and residential property portfolios. Although her focus has most recently been on commercial property Gemma also has experience in dealing with residential property transactions, complex corrective conveyancing and has acted on behalf of both lenders and insolvency practitioners in relation to residential and commercial property matters.
Isabelle is a Partner in the Family Law team, specialising in divorce, financial issues arising from separation and child related matters. She also regularly advises clients who are contemplating cohabitation and marriage on how to best protect their assets.
Jacqueline Law
Jacqueline is Managing Partner at Aberdein Considine and solicitor within its Corporate & Business Advisory and Commercial Property departments. She has a broad range of corporate and commercial experience, mainly in the SME oil service sector, dealing with acquisitions and disposals, management buy outs/buy ins, group restructuring, and commercial contracts. She has been involved in major fleet purchase transactions and in refinancing deals for offshore support vessel owners and operators.
James MacKinnon
James is a Partner and Head of Private Client for Edinburgh. He joined the Firm in 2018 after spending thirteen years with a leading Private Client firm in Edinburgh.James provides clients with tax efficient solutions in passing wealth on to future generations, both in lifetime and on death. He specialises in all aspects of the formation, administration and termination of trusts, including providing expert advice on the legal and tax implications of the use of trusts in succession planning and asset protection. James also deals with the administration of estates and has a particular interest in finding solutions for clients where matters are complex or contentious - and also advises on care fees planning for elderly and vulnerable clients.James’ guidance on the implications of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) on trustees was adopted by the Law Society of Scotland and he continues to provide guidance to trustees, including charitable trustees, of their reporting obligations under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). He also provides training for businesses and practitioners on the impact of FATCA and CRS. He is a member of STEP and serves as secretary on their Scottish Branch Committee. James has also tutored on the Private Client Course of the Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.
John Di Paola
John is an Associate in the Lender Services Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Waterloo Street Office in Glasgow. He specialises in the recovery of heritable property, banking litigation and debt recovery. He has extensive experience in litigation and has appeared regularly in the Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland as well as handling numerous cases in the Sheriff Appeal Court and Court of Session.
Karl Brown
Karl is a Partner in Aberdein Considine's Family Law department, based in Aberdeen. He is a member of the Scottish Family Law Association and primarily deals with a mixed case load of matrimonial and family law cases. He also has extensive experience in dealing with all child-related matters.
Laura Considine
Laura is the Partner in charge of Aberdein Considine's Stonehaven office, dealing with property, Wills and private client work. Laura also advises commercial clients in relation to conveyancing for residential developments.
Laura Browne
Laura is a Partner in the Lender Services team, specialising in the resolution of complex mortgage disputes, property litigation and professional negligence claims. She has extensive experience in pursuing and defending claims on behalf of lenders and has over 20 years’ experience in lender services, regularly advising leading UK institutions on recovery strategy and key projects.
Leanne Warrender
Leanne is a Partner and oversees the running of our two centralised conveyancing units, in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, which handle around 500 transactions every month. She specialises in conveyancing and property law and is responsible for driving efficiencies in the firm's processes through digitalisation. She joined Aberdein Considine in 2015, and prior to taking over responsibility for centralised conveyancing, worked in our busy Union Street office, advising clients.
Michael Sinclair
Michael is one of the Aberdein Considine's Senior Property Partners and oversees the firm's estate agency and lettings operations across Scotland.Having joined the firm in 1984, Michael payed a fundamental role in growing the business from a provincial north-east firm to a multi-jurisdictional partnership with 19 offices across Scotland and the north of England.Michael is also a full-time member of the firm's Management Committee, which oversees the day-to-day running of the business.
Myra Scott
Partner and Head of the Lender Services Practice Group. Myra has over 20 years’ experience dealing with high profile banking cases, particularly defended actions, as well as managing issues in a range of lending practice areas including property, litigation, title rectification, fraud, regulatory and mortgage matters.
Paul Hutcheson
Paul is an Associate in the firm’s Stirling office, overseeing the estate team and dealing with sales and purchases.He is an honours graduate of the University of Aberdeen and specialises in a range of areas including all aspects of conveyancing.
Paul McIntosh
Paul is an Edinburgh-based Partner in Aberdein Considine's Banking Litigation team, specialising in professional negligence for lender clients. He is qualified to practise in both Scotland and England & Wales.
Paul Jennings
Paul is a Partner and Head of our Commercial Real Estate team in Scotland. Based in our Waterloo Street office in Glasgow, Paul has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial development and investment work, including house building, planning, real estate finance, retail and leisure with particular expertise in the acquisition, development and letting of commercial offices. He is ranked as a Leading Individual in Real Estate in Scotland by both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
Ritchie Whyte
Ritchie is a Partner in our Corporate and Business Advisory team and advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, investments and start-ups. He has a wealth of experience in the SME space advising entrepreneurs, investors and owner-managed businesses across a variety of industry sectors, including energy and healthcare. He has become a key commercial contact for firms in Aberdeen, particularly SMEs in the oil and gas sector. He now also acts for a number of fast-growing food and drink industry businesses, including Porter’s Gin and Dark Matter Rum.
Ross is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team.  He regularly handles complex and high value cases in both Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and the Court of Session.  He has particular focus on professional negligence, finance litigation, property litigation, contentious insolvency matters, contractual disputes and debt recovery.
Ruth Aberdein
Ruth is the Partner-in-Charge of our highly-regarded and dynamic Family Law team. She has specialised exclusively in Family Law for almost 20 years and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland both as a Specialist in Family Law and as a Family Law Mediator. Ruth, who is also a qualified Collaborative Lawyer, is recognised in the Legal 500 as a leading individual in her field, with commentary including that she is "very trustworthy, professional and sympathetic" and is "able to approach difficult matters with empathy and understanding while using extensive knowledge and experience to achieve as good a solution as possible". Ruth has extensive knowledge spanning all areas of Family Law but has particular expertise in dealing with high-net worth cases, often involving business interests. Ruth is respected for her sensible and child-focussed approach to cases.
Ryan Fox
Ryan is a Partner specialising in wills, trusts and executries, as well as providing advice on a wide range of private client matters including estate administration, tax planning and asset protection.Ryan trained with Aberdein Considine after studying at the University of Aberdeen. He qualified in 2008 and became a Partner in 2016.
Sally-Anne is a Partner and Head of Employment Law and has vast experience of advising both employers and employees in a range of sectors regarding all aspects of employment law.
Tahir Bashir
Tahir is our Newcastle-based Lender Services UK Operations Director and oversees our volume property and litigation teams. These teams work with large banks and financial institutions on the rehabilitation of secured and unsecured debt.A key part of his role is ensuring all client specifications and service level agreements are adhered to, as well as servicing relationships across the department's large client base.Tahir joined Aberdein Considine from Ascent Performance Group, where he spent nine years, latterly as Head of Unsecured Services. For three decades, Aberdein Considine have specialised in providing legal support to banks, asset-based lenders, building societies, debt purchasers, mortgage servicers and other lenders. Our offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle, along with our Northern Irish partner Wilson Nesbitt’s offices in Belfast and Bangor, are powered by one unified case management system that allows us to operate as one integrated law firm across the whole of the UK.
