The firm has offices along the M4 from Bristol to London, with over 600 employees. Clients include individuals through to multi-national FTSE companies. Commercial

RWK Goodman’s commercial practice offers a full spectrum of corporate, employment, property and litigation services. With contentious and non-contentious work, they cover M&A transactions, corporate/commercial contracts, employment law, commercial disputes, intellectual property, commercial property and construction. In addition, the firm has specialist sector-focused teams made up of lawyers with experience of working with clients across health & social care, retail, banking & finance, and technology & media.

Private Client services

RWK Goodman has well-established private client, family and residential property practices. Services offered include advising clients on buying property for themselves or family members; advising on cohabitation agreements; negotiating a fair financial settlement on divorce; drawing up wills and helping clients to apply for a Lasting Power of Attorney. Solicitors are known for being friendly and approachable experts in their field. The firm also has an offering for high-net-worth individuals, as wealth gives rise to added complexity in clients’ business and personal lives. Clients include business owners, entrepreneurs, family trusts, landed estates, and City professionals both in the UK and overseas.

Injury

With a strong national reputation for high-quality claimant work, the clinical negligence and personal injury team put clients at the heart of everything they do. They build a team around each client – who take time to get to know clients personally and guide them through the often daunting process of pursuing a compensation claim. RWK Goodman has a national reputation for work in highly specialist areas including head, brain and spinal injuries; birth injuries and cerebral palsy; complex orthopaedic injuries; asbestos diseases; dental negligence; catastrophic road accidents; serious injuries caused by animals; amputations; chronic pain including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome; cycling accidents; and injuries sustained while in care.

Environmental, social and corporate governance

RWK Goodman champions diversity and inclusion through its ED&I Committee, with a strong focus on talent development. Supporting programs like Inspire Law Global and 10,000 Black Interns, they’ve offered roles to five participants, while also nurturing six Graduate Solicitor Apprentices. Their internal and external mentoring initiatives, including a reciprocal mentoring scheme for aspiring Black legal professionals, show their commitment to building strong, diverse talent pipelines. Furthermore, the firm engages in charitable initiatives and support local Community Foundations. As of 2024, the firm has invested over £300k to address issues like homelessness and mental health, making a meaningful impact in communities.
