Position

Kerstin specialises in cerebral palsy and catastrophic injury cases, with a focus on complex and high value claims. Her main areas of expertise relate to hypoxic birth injury, cord prolapse, meningitis and Group B Strep infection related injuries. Kerstin also specialises in cases involving cardiology and delays in diagnosis of neurological cancers.

After joining Royds Withy King in 2009, Kerstin nuanced her practice area to focus mainly in obstetric and neonatal cases, representing children and young adults who suffered neurological injuries before, during or after their birth. Kerstin works closely with chartered legal executive Abigail Ringer in progressing large and complex cases.

Kerstin also specialises in inquest cases, focusing on medical negligence related deaths and also those involving Article II of the Human Rights Act. Kerstin works closely with Ali Cloak on a number of high profile inquest cases.

Her experience of medical negligence claims includes:
