Iain is the managing partner of Brett Wilson LLP and a prominent media lawyer, dealing with defamation, privacy, data protection and harassment law. He predominantly acts for politicians, celebrities, HNWIs, corporates, public/trade bodies and professionals. Iain heads up the firm’s media and communications law department, which is well-known for both claims against the traditional media and cases concerning online publication. In respect of the latter, Iain acted in two of the leading cases in this field: The Law Society & Ors v Kordowski [2011] EWHC 3185 (QB) (‘Solicitors from Hell case’) and Tamiz v Google Inc [2013] EWCA Civ 68. Sharron regularly acts for individuals accused of sexual offences, including representing doctors and other medical practitioners accused of sexual assaults arising out of their professional duties. She is currently representing a male accused of 14 separate offences of sexual assault against five separate complainants.
