Frances is a partner and Guernsey Advocate in the corporate and finance team in our Guernsey office. With over 15 years’ experience Frances’ practice covers a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, finance, investment funds, insurance, listings, regulatory advice and restructurings. She is ranked as a leading individual for investment funds work by Legal 500 in 2016.

Prior to moving to Guernsey in 2005, she worked for seven years with Allen & Overy LLP, one of the leading London law firms, where she advised on a wide variety of corporate and corporate finance matters.

Examples of recent experience prior to joining Mourant Ozannes:

Acted as Guernsey Counsel on the establishment of an infrastructure Iicome fund that raised £150 million on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

Advised an aircraft leasing company on its further placing of shares on the LSE’s Specialist Fund Market, the proceeds of which were used to acquire two Boeing 787-8 aircraft to be leased to a leading Asia airline, and related financing.

Acted for an international bank in connection with its acquisition of a Guernsey-based trust and corporate services business.

She is a former Chair of the Commercial Bar Association in Guernsey.

Frances qualified as an English Solicitor in 1999 and as a Guernsey Advocate in 2007.  Frances has a first class honours degree from Oxford University and an M.Phil., also from Oxford University.
