Furthermore, Achim Herfs advises issuers and banks on capital markets transactions, including IPOs, rights offerings, share placements without pre-emptive rights and block trades, as well as the issuance of convertible bonds and high yield bonds.

Dr. Anna Schwander is a corporate partner in the Munich office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. She advises clients on all aspects of corporate law and focuses in particular on capital markets transactions and general capital market advice as well as foreign trade law. Anna advises issuers and financial sponsors on capital markets transactions including IPOs, right offerings, private placements and block trades, as well as the issuance of high yield bonds and convertible bonds. She also advises corporations and their bodies on general capital market and stock corporation law. Furthermore, Anna is a member of our International Trade and National Security practice group and advises companies and financial investors on cross border transactions as well as public takeovers with regard to foreign trade law.

Dr. Christian Halàsz is a restructuring partner in the Frankfurt office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on complex cross-border and domestic restructurings. He advises clients on strategic and legal issues related to distressed debt and special situations and has many years of experience across multiple sectors, including automotive, telecommunications, packaging, paper, transport, real estate, chemicals and energy. He represents hedge funds, high-yield investors, institutional lenders, creditor committees, private equity funds and domestic and international companies. Christian has been involved in some of the most contentious landmark restructuring situations in the last decade, such as the three biggest Icelandic banks (Glithnir, Kaupthing and Landsbanki), Galapagos and Adler.

Cristina Weidner
Dr. Cristina Weidner is a restructuring partner in the Munich office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Cristina advises on financial and corporate restructurings, acting for sponsors, creditors and investors in turnaround situations. One focus is the advice to German companies on their financial restructurings by use of international restructuring tools, often in complex constellations with multi-layered financing structures. Cristina also advises (secured) creditors on the financial restructuring of their borrowers. She acts regularly for creditors in the context of distressed M&A transactions and German insolvency proceedings.

Wolfgang Nardi is a debt finance partner in the Munich office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. He advises national and international clients in acquisition and corporate finance transactions, restructuring and general finance matters. His particular focus lies on advising investors on the financing aspects of private equity transactions and financial restructuring in a private equity environment and in finding solutions for the non-consensual refinancing or restructuring of syndicated debt to German debtors.
