Nixon Peabody CWL has an approach to client service that involves partners and consultants having significant ‘hands on’ involvement in matters taken on by the firm, while operating in a cost-effective manner.  It aims to use small tight-knit teams, supplemented by additional lawyers only when necessary to meet the objectives of an assignment.

Lawyers in Nixon Peabody CWL have worked on transactions in many countries throughout Asia and are thereby sensitive to different cultures and attitudes.  Almost all of its lawyers are fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, as well as English.

The firm aims to offer a depth of thought combined with practical and commercial (and not purely legalistic) advice, operating as a ‘think tank’ to resolve complicated legal and commercial issues.  This is especially important when structuring transactions, conducting difficult negotiations, or finding the right direction in the present day regulatory maze.  It also seeks to develop strong and lasting relationships with clients and spends time with them to understand their businesses, objectives and concerns.

The Nixon Peabody logo signals its intent: a dynamic ‘spark’ that symbolises both its innovative ideas and actions and the collective intelligence of the whole firm thinking ahead for its clients.
