He concentrates on Customs and International Trade law. He advises importers, exporters, manufacturers, Customs brokers, freight forwarders, and others involved in the international supply chain on production, compliance, classification, valuation, transportation, admissibility and related Customs and other agency trade matters. His practice covers regulatory compliance in the areas of import and export controls including, ITAR, Free Trade Agreements, origin verifications, Customs audits, penalty and liquidated damages cases, Consumer Product Safety and other enforcement matters.
Partner and Head of the Firm’s Trademark Group. Debbie concentrates her practice on intellectual property with particular emphasis on trademark enforcement and litigation and trademark counseling and prosecution (US and worldwide). She counsels clients in the financial, entertainment, sports, beverage, food, and restaurant industries, among others.
Counsel. Dorothy brings her talents as a lawyer to many fields. She is mainly involved in handling worldwide trademark registration programs for major corporations. She also handles several employment and corporate law matters.
Counsel. Chris is a senior member of the firm's litigation group. His practice consists of facilitating the resolution of commercial and intellectual property disputes through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution procedures and, where necessary, through the trial of actions before federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States.

Jeff concentrates on domestic and international trademark law, including practicing before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.Jeff handles the worldwide intellectual property portfolios of multinational corporations based in the United States, as well as the interests of many foreign corporations and individuals doing business in this country. He regularly counsels clients on the clearance, acquisition, maintenance, licensing, and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including trademarks and domain names.
Jonathan King is a Partner and former long-time Chair and Executive Committee Member of the Firm. He has handled intellectual property litigations in a wide range of industries, including music, fashion, sports, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, software, advertising, licensing, publishing and various consumer products. His practice encompasses the full gamut of intellectual property subjects, including trademarks, copyright, trade secrets and the licensing of intellectual property. He regularly tries copyright and trademark infringement cases in the federal courts and handles opposition and cancellation actions before the Trademark Trial Appeal Board. Mr. King’s engagements have included a number of landmark intellectual property matters, including some of the first cases involving the use of trademarks as internet keywords, online liability for linking to pirated materials, and the application of copyright law to the “resale” of digital files. He also has extensive experience in the use of consumer surveys in Lanham Act litigation. Among others, he has represented The Donna Karan Company, the Recording Industry Association of America, Capitol Records, Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Major League Baseball Properties, and the National Audubon Society.

He litigates intellectual property and product labeling matters in federal and state courts. He also represents brandowners before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Kieran's clients include fashion, footwear, hair care and skin care companies, publishers, professional sports marketing and merchandising companies, restaurants, food and beverage manufacturers.
Counsel. Kyle-Beth Hilfer has over thirty years’ experience providing legal counsel to advertising, marketing, promotions, intellectual property, and new media clients. Leveraging her deep understanding of branding, Kyle-Beth ensures regulatory compliance for her clients’ advertising and marketing campaigns. She also helps clients create, monetize, and protect their trademark and copyright portfolios in a global marketplace. Kyle-Beth counsels across all types of platforms in an ever-changing marketplace, including print, tv, radio, social media, digital, e-commerce, mobile, and virtual reality. She regularly performs advertising copy clearance and claim substantiation review. In addition, Kyle-Beth counsels from concept stage through execution on the legal implications of specific marketing techniques, including sweepstakes and contests, word of mouth marketing, user-generated content, premium offers, rebates, negative option and advance consent marketing, loyalty programs, cause marketing, and native advertising.Kyle-Beth is a resource for all transactional matters relating to advertising and marketing campaigns. He regularly represents clients in federal court actions, contested proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and arbitrations and other alternative dispute proceedings. Richard’s clients include companies in the music, television and motion picture, sports, fashion, and food industries.
Partner. Bob's practice focuses on domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement matters. He has represented clients in the craft beer, apparel, musical instrument, software, advertising, beauty, art and entertainment industries. Bob has experience representing clients in connection with a variety of intellectual property-related transactional matters, including licensing, asset purchase and joint development agreements. Bob also practices before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and has litigated trademark, trade secret, and unfair competition matters.
Partner. Bob concentrates on succession planning and estate and trust administration. He also handles significant commercial transactions, including the purchase and sale of publishing and other media related companies and businesses involved in the sale, distribution or manufacture of various consumer products. He represents individuals and businesses before the IRS and state taxing authorities (particularly in cases involving residency, sales tax issues and matters relating to the cable TV and communications industry).
Counsel. Mr. Meister has successfully litigated cases ranging from a criminal antitrust case in Montana to a multi-million-dollar tax case in New York. He has represented manufacturers, publishers, cable television companies, housing cooperatives, copyright and trademark owners, theater producers, religious organizations, civil liberties organizations, corporate executives, attorneys, a former Prime Minister of Israel, a former Vice President of the United States, and individuals in the milk, concrete, electrical contracting, news, entertainment, and kosher food industries.
Counsel. Simon has more than 30 years of experience counseling and attending to the varied commercial and corporate needs of established privately-held businesses and their principals. He also attends to the special entrepreneurial needs of start-up companies and their founders, including the selection, organization, and governance of business entities, mergers and acquisitions and financings. Simon also has significant experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including commercial leasing, property acquisitions, multi-million dollar financings, and tax-advantaged exchange property transactions. More recently, building on his corporate experience, Simon has devoted significant attention to transactional and licensing matters in the technology area. Simon has served on the firm’s Executive Committee and as its Administrative Partner.
Senior Counsel. Bill has handled domestic and international trademark and copyright matters at the highest level for over 60 years. He has counseled and represented clients on domestic and international trademark matters concerning clearance, registration, proper use, licensing, contested administrative proceedings and infringement claims. He became Senior Counsel in January 2024 and is now focusing on providing guidance and advice to other lawyers within our firm and writing informative and engaging articles on intellectual property law developments.
