Position

Rafael is a partner of Von Wobeser y Sierra with more than twenty years of experience and co-heads the Labor, Executive Compensation & Benefits practice.

Career

Rafael provides comprehensive legal advice to domestic and foreign companies in labor, social security and benefits matters. In addition, he advises on contingency prevention, regulatory and human rights issues in labor matters, as well as on labor aspects related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and corporate transactions, as well as on labor litigation strategies, including the negotiation of individual and collective disputes.

Additionally, Rafael has remarkable experience in international labor matters, including the start of operations of companies in Mexico and their exit from the country, as well as in matters related to global mobility, equity and gender, development and delivery of training programs for the adaptation of foreign corporate policies to Mexican law and implementation of all types of incentive programs and plans as part of the compensation of executives and employees in general.

Prior to joining Von Wobeser, he was a partner at a recognized law and accounting (tax) firm in Mexico City.

He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners Latin America, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal Thought Leaders, Who’s Who Legal Labour and Employment, and Who’s Who Legal Mexico, among other publications.
