Alejandro Torres
Alejandro is the leading partner of the Tax practice at Von Wobeser y Sierra. He has more than thirty years of experience in this area. He has been a partner at two of the leading firms specializing in tax matters in Mexico, where he excelled in resolving complex tax controversies before the courts. Alejandro is a strategic advisor to domestic and multinational companies regarding tax matters. He is an expert in contentious proceedings and revocation recourses before the tax authorities, as well as in the resolution of complex tax controversies before Mexico’s Taxpayers Ombudsman (Prodecon), through the execution of conclusive agreements and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms provided by international treaties to which Mexico is a party. Alejandro has led the Tax Committee and the Professional Ethics Committee of the Mexican Bar Association and was vice-president of the Tax Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). Moreover, he has authored several articles on tax matters in multiple specialized publications. He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners, Latin Lawyer, Who’s Who Legal and other specialized publications as a leading practitioner in tax matters in Mexico.

Montserrat is Partner of the Arbitration Practice of Von Wobeser y Sierra. She has approximately, 17 years of experience and has participated in more than 50 arbitrations as party attorney, secretary and/or arbitral tribunal assistant, in arbitrations conducted under the rules of the ICC, AAA, UNCITRAL, PCA, ICSID, complementary mechanism of ICSID and CAM. She has solid experience in dispute resolution related to administrative law and government contracting. Furthermore, she has participated in both commercial and investment arbitrations, in various sectors, including the following: Energy, Construction, Port, Shipping, Chemical involving both Mexican and foreign law.

Pablo is a partner at Von Wobeser y Sierra. He has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer and public affairs expert. He co-heads the Corporate and M&A practice group and is a member of the Consumer Goods industry group. He is also part of the ESG practice group (Environmental, Social and Governance). In addition, he works with the Executive Committee on the firm's overall strategy and oversees our communication, marketing and business development function. Pablo is admitted to practice law in Mexico and Illinois (USA). He is also certified as a foreign legal consultant in the state of Texas (USA).

Pablo is the Head Partner of the Real Estate Practice and is also a Partner in the Corporate/M&A Practice of Von Wobeser y Sierra. He has more than 13 years of experience advising multinational clients including several on the Fortune 500 list. Pablo has been directly involved in several of the most groundbreaking corporate matters and transactions that have taken place in Mexico in the past couple of years. He is an expert in advising multinational clients that are expanding their business operations in Mexico throughout the various phases of their business cycle (from establishing a company, to expanding business operations via new subsidiaries or factories and the daily management of a company). Furthermore, he has thorough experience regarding complicated mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures that have a solid real estate component and has been involved in substantial projects that represent an important investment for the country. He has aided clients in identifying the correct location and land for their investment as well as all the legal advise required to follow through on business ventures in order for them to come to fruition.

He also belongs to the Automotive & Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Energy & Natural Resources, Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences, and Real Estate industry groups. He is part of the ESG practice group (Environmental, Social and Governance). Raymundo has extensive experience in civil, commercial and administrative litigation, the amparo proceeding, and commercial and investment arbitration. He is a specialist in public contracting procedures and in energy (oil and gas and renewables). He also participates in sophisticated anti-corruption and compliance investigations. Raymundo advises and represents domestic and multinational clients, including some of the most iconic oil and gas, construction, technology, automotive and pharmaceutical companies in the world. His early experience in litigation have allowed him to conduct entire cases, from the design of strategies to the enforcement of rulings, making use of the appropriate intermediate legal resources.
