Position

Christoph Wolf is a partner at CMS and heads the employment and pensions team together with Bernhard Hainz. For over 15 years he has been particularly advising companies with respect to judicial and extra-judicial labour law matters, including the implementation of restructuring measures, negotiating works agreements and redundancy plans as well as settling disputes with works councils and employees.  An additional focal point of his work revolves around providing support to former state-owned companies, as well as dealing with various labour law-related issues in the area of compliance projects. He also advises clients on legal issues concerning the international secondment of staff as well as all labour law topics relevant in the field of compliance.

In addition, Christoph Wolf has served and continues to serve as a lecturer at the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, the Danube University Krems as well as the Medical University of Vienna.

Career

Assistant professor at the Institute for Labour and Social Security Law of the University of Vienna (1992-1995), lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and the Medical University of Vienna, joined CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz in 1995 (partner since 2004), author of numerous commentaries and articles on labour law.

Having been recommended by Chambers as a leading expert in the field of employment law for a number of years, he was promoted to Band 1 in 2017, making him the second employment law partner in Vienna to be at the top of this ranking.

Christoph Wolf has been nominated for the award Acritas Stars 2021.
