Senior Associate

Desislava Anastasova joined CMS Sofia in 2014 as an Associate. She is part of the CMS Sofia Dispute Resolution team.

For more than 10 years Desislava has been specialising in the areas of Dispute Resolution and Insolvency. Before joining CMS, she gained experience in another leading law firm in Sofia.

Desislava has worked for national and international enterprises, mainly banks and financial institutions, as well as manufacturing companies, representing them in in and out of court in different civil and commercial disputes and advising them on ad hoc legal matters.  She has also advised clients in employment disputes and numerous ongoing civil legal cases, especially related to corporate and insolvency matters.

Desislava is also experienced in advising clients on intellectual property rights, including registration of trademarks and designs, as well as undertaking legal actions against third parties for infringement of intellectual property rights, protection against unfair competition, and for infringement of license agreement.

Following the successful completion of a mediation training course in 2017, Desislava was registered in the Unified Register of Mediators at the Ministry of Justice in Bulgaria. Desislava has completed an in-depth training on European Union law and has comprehensive knowledge of the various regulations and procedures in respect to this.
