Counsel, Head of TMT

Veliko Savov is Counsel in the CMS Corporate/ M&A Practice Area Group and also heads the TMT Practice group in Sofia. In this position, he is actively involved in leading and coordinating M&A transactions, client interactions and financial management for companies operating in various sectors, including the telecoms sector.

Veliko specialises in company and commercial law and has interests in foreign direct investments. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions of companies, cross-border transactions, joint ventures, contract negotiations and corporate governance. Veliko has participated in some of the most prominent M&A deals in Bulgaria, having advised major local and international private equity clients on commercial and corporate matters, restructuring issues, shareholder and operating agreements.

Prior to joining CMS Veliko worked as an in-house lawyer at the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company/Vivacom. He is well familiar with the regulatory regime facing the companies and is experienced in the compliance side of their operations.
