Position

Thomas Cordrey has extensive experience in the Court of Appeal, High Court, County Courts, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Employment Tribunals (in England, Wales and Scotland). Thomas featured in The Lawyer with reference to some of the twenty plus appearances he has made at the EAT, a number of which have been before the Presidents of the EAT. Thomas is experienced in High Court litigation, including two, reported, multi-day trials in the past twelve months. Amongst other appearances in the Court of Appeal he acted in the test case of De Souza v Vinci Construction (UK) Ltd [2017] EWCA Civ 879 in which Gross LJ chose to “pay tribute to the logical and cogent argument advanced by Mr Cordrey". Thomas is the youngest editor of the highly respected text, Harvey on Industrial Relations and Employment Law.

Called 2006, Lincoln’s Inn; pupillage Devereux Chambers; tenant 2008 to date; member of the Bar Council’s Legislation & Guidance sub-group and sits on the COMBAR E&D Committee.
