The practice group at Spanish firm Cuatrecasas is regularly instructed by companies, financial institutions, and funds in local and international financing transactions. Core areas of expertise include corporate, structured, asset, leveraged, and acquisition finance, as well as real estate, projects, and infrastructure-related finance. The firm further consolidated its presence in the Mexican market by way of its January 2023 integration of Rico, Robles, Libenson, S.Cl, which brought the arrival of practice co-head Gustavo Robles, who has significant experience in banking regulation, project finance, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Co-leading alongside him, León López has notable transactional and debt restructuring expertise. The practice was furhter strengthened by the February 2024 hire of Mariana Campos. With extensive in-house experience that includes Barclays Bank (Mexico), BIVA and JP Morgan, Campos is a 20-year veteran of the banking and finance sector and handles capital markets, financial regulatory matters and banking transactions.
