Andreas Bullen
Andreas Bullen
Partner Andreas Bullen's practice includes transfer pricing, international tax law, Norwegian company tax law and EEA tax law. He assists many companies in matters of transfer pricing, including the choice of corporate structure, preparation of intra-group agreements and transfer pricing documentation, appeals cases and court cases. Bullen has written a doctoral thesis (PhD) at the University of Oslo titled "Arm's length transaction structures: Recognising and restructuring controlled transactions in transfer pricing". Bullen's doctoral thesis was awarded the Mitchell B. Carroll Prize by the International Fiscal Association and the European Academic Tax Thesis Award by the European Commission and the European Association of Tax Law Professors. Bullen is also the author of the book “EU, EEA and Tax: The four freedoms and direct taxation” and several articles on national and international tax law, including EEA tax law.
Bettina Banoun
Bettina Banoun
Partner Bettina Banoun has extensive experience in work related to tax law, litigation, company law and EEA law. She is the chairman of the Tax Law Committee of the Norwegian Bar Association. Bettina Banoun is admitted to the Supreme Court and litigates regularly before Norwegian courts of justice. She also has experience in litigation before the EFTA Court and with complaints before the EFTA Surveillance Authority. Bettina Banoun has a PhD from the University of Oslo and wrote her thesis on "Tax avoidance", and she has legal training from Oxford University, University of Oslo and Harvard Law School. She is the author of several articles regarding tax law.

Partner Georg Abusdal Engebretsen specialises in assisting Norwegian and international enterprises and public institutions in compliance and investigations. He has extensive experience and expert knowledge in a wide range of compliance law matters in a number of business sectors , including technology, industry and shipping. Mr. Engebretsen is also an experienced litigator and has, among other things, litigated cases concerning infringement penalties under the Norwegian Competition Act. He is often used as a lecturer both in Norway and abroad. He has for many years been a member of the compliance committee of the Center for Continuing Legal Education.

Mr. Parmann is a skilful project manager and has extensive experience in handling large and complex cases for Norwegian and international clients. He has experience of all levels of court, arbitration (Norwegian and international), negotiations and mediations. Mr. Parmann also provides assistance in company law, administrative law and planning law.

Helge Morten Svarva
Partner Helge M. Svarva has extensive litigation experience from both his time at the Office of the Attorney General and his time at Wiersholm. He has particularly provided advisory and litigation services in major contracting disputes both offshore (FPSOs, platforms, rigs etc.) and in onshore activities. He also has much experience with energy law (hydro-electric power) and real estate law. Svarva has been admitted to the Supreme Court (1988), and he is often used as an arbitrator and mediator.

Jan Fougner
Jan Fougner
Partner Jan Fougner is a specialist on litigation and employment law and has extensive experience from a number of high-profile cases involving legal, political and reputational risk. He has litigated approximately 20 cases before the Supreme Court. In addition, Jan Fougner works with contract law, petroleum law, administrative law, environmental law and the law of damages. He is Professor II of Employment Law at BI Norwegian Business School and the author of several textbooks. He gives lectures on a regular basis and has vast experience from public and private boards, councils and committees. He has also been the head of several major investigations. Jan Fougner has extensive experience with management and change processes in which the framework conditions of collective employment law and the restoration of the employer's managerial prerogative are of vital importance. He is also leading in Norway on compliance, anti-corruption, corporate penalty, conflict and crisis management, and subsequent clear-up processes under both Norwegian and international legislation, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Thøgersen is also an experienced team and negotiation leader, and for more than eight years he was the Managing Partner of one of Norway's leading law firms. Thøgersen particularly advises technology and telecom companies and is the head of Wiersholm's dedicated technology, media and communication team.

Kristine Hasle is a banking and finance lawyer with particular focus on the shipping/offshore and energy sectors. She regularly assists borrowers, lenders, investors and arrangers, domestically and internationally. Ms. Hasle has extensive experience with international and cross border financings and transactions, including sale and leaseback transactions. Partner Olav Fr. Perland works mainly with dispute resolution and providing advisory services in company, securities and contract law. He has particular experience with liability cases, including directors’ liability, professional liability and liability for misrepresentation. Perland is the head of and a lecturer in the subjects "Company Law 2 – Transactions, Stock Exchange and Securities Law" in the master study of business and economics and "Securities Law" in the bachelor study of finance, both at BI Norwegian Business School. He is also the author of several articles on his areas of practice. Olav Fr. Perland has a Ph.D from the University of Bergen with the thesis ”Manager/underwriter liability – Investment firms’ liability in connection with placement of shares”.

Ronny Lund
Partner Ronny Lund works with contract law in general and construction law in particular, both onshore and offshore. His assistance includes all stages of a contractual relationship, from the pre-contractual phase of preparations, contract drafting and negotiations, to contract administration and dispute resolution in or out of court. Lund's background from the Office of the City Advocate in Oslo has given him good knowledge of and experience with related areas of law, including general and special administrative law and the rules regarding the pre-contractual phase of public procurement. Lund also has extensive experience with litigation before Norwegian and international courts of arbitration. He is also widely used as a mediator and arbitrator.

Partner Ståle Gjengset works mainly with providing legal and strategic advice and preparing contracts in business transfers, mergers and demergers. Gjengset also has considerable experience with financing and financial restructuring. He was in charge of the first and, at present, only Norwegian refinancing that was carried out under the US "Chapter 11" regulations. In addition to acquisition financing and corporate financing, Ståle Gjengset has also assisted a number of companies in the offshore and aircraft industries with various acquisitions, sales and leasing transactions. Ståle Gjengset also has long experience with international negotiations and transactions.

Partner Stephan L. Jervell works with litigation, dispute resolution and negotiations, and public law framework conditions for trade and industry, including EU/EEA law. His expertise also includes administrative law, competition law, state aid and procurement law, and contract law. Jervell is admitted to the Supreme Court and litigates regularly before Norwegian courts. He has litigated before the EFTA Court and carried out several hearings before the EU Commission. He also has experience as an arbitrator in national and international arbitrations. In recent years, Jervell has been highly engaged in international arbitration in shipping, oil and gas, M&A disputes and general contract law. He has litigated many cases in the ICC and the SCC systems and also been engaged in ad hoc arbitration.
