Alejandro is Counsel  for the Firm in the Civil and Commercial Litigation & Arbitration practices. He has ample experience providing legal advice to clients in commercial and administrative matters, as well as in anti-trust and telecommunication litigation and diverse legal proceedings before jurisdictional and administrative bodies and arbitration administrators. Likewise, he has advised and represented national and foreign clients in arbitration proceedings and, in turn, has counseled foreign institutions and entities on restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings.

Edmundo Elías

Edmundo is Counsel for the Firm in the Corporate / M&A and Real Estate practices. He has dedicated his practice in providing legal and business advise for different kinds of projects, corporate restructuring, transactions, mergers, acquisitions, foreign investment, project finance and infrastructure, focusing mainly on real estate transactions, whether industrial, residential, commercial, or touristic, as well as matters related to supply chain and the daily operation of companies in Mexico. Likewise, he has represented Mexican and foreign companies (Fortune 500) of different industries, including automotive, information technology and from the maquiladora sector.

Enrique Bojanic

Enrique is Counsel for the Firm in the Corporate / M&A and Real Estate practices. He is experienced in providing legal and business advice pertaining to different types of projects, transactions, operations, investments, divestitures, joint ventures, real estate law, corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs, to private equity funds, as well as to various Mexican and foreign companies. His practice has also focused on issues related to project finance and infrastructure, e-commerce, and anti-trust law, foreign investment, among others.

Fernando de Buen

Fernando is Counsel for the firm in the Labour practice. With more than thirteen years of experience, Fernando has advised clients regarding labour and employment law and social security. His experience in this area includes matters related to labor compliance including the drafting and negotiation of employment agreements, as well as hiring strategies for both nationals and expatriates, strategies for terminating the employment relationship of high-level executives and employees, as well as the planning and execution of employee transfers, subcontracting regime, profit sharing (“PTU”), internal work regulations, internal policies, employee handbook, amongst others, applicable in companies. Likewise, Fernando has successfully advised on the design of employment structures, compensation and benefits for executives and employees, as well as the negotiation and termination of collective bargaining agreements, advising companies in order to ensure that they meet all the requirements required by the labor laws, the labour authorities (both federal and locals), and internal labor audits. Fernando has led highly complex consulting, as well as the opening, expansion and/or restructuring of the operations of companies in Mexico due to transactional operations (Due Diligence) both nationally and transnationally, which may originate from mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture agreements, without being limited to the development of new affiliates and/or subsidiaries, as well as the implementation of labour obligations in the creation of new companies, the analysis of the consequences derived from these and the planning of labor strategies to carry out the closure of company operations. Fernando has represented clients in sectors and industries such as pharmaceuticals, automotive, aeronautics, finance, information technology, entertainment, mining and telecommunications, amongst others. Fernando has participated as a speaker in several forums regarding his area of expertise and has participated in the publication of articles of a labour nature.

Miguel Ángel Alonso

Miguel Ángel Alonso is Counsel for the Firm in the Tax practice. He possesses over 5 years of extensive expertise in providing tax advisory services to both domestic and international corporations. His specialization lies in federal taxes and international taxation. Throughout his professional journey, Miguel Ángel has actively engaged in national and international corporate restructurings and has advised both private and public companies from diverse industries. Additionally, he has also played a role in evaluating several cross-border transactions, facilitating investment projects in Mexico, and assisting in the placement of shares on the Mexican Stock Exchange. The above, with special focus on domestic provisions, as well as the provisions contained in treaties to avoid double taxation. Furthermore, Miguel Angel has successfully guided companies in negotiating with governmental authorities to analyze tax reforms related to the digital economy and virtual assets.

Patricio Gorozpe

Patricio is the Founding Partner of the Firm. He has ample experience providing legal and business advice to Mexican and international companies in all kinds of projects, transactions, investments, divestments, strategic alliances and joint ventures, private equity funds, real estate, corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, dissolutions and liquidations of companies, disputes among shareholders, foreign investment, project finance and infrastructure, among others. He has designed and implemented complex strategies for Mexican and foreign business companies.

Paul Kavanagh

Paul is Founding Partner of the Firm. He has extensive experience in tax planning and consulting, both in national and international matters, as well as in corporate, contractual, financial, and regulatory matters; his practice has focused mainly on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, real estate transactions, investment structuring, and estate planning.
