Adam Epstein

He has acted in a number of high profile and often ground-breaking cases before both the UK and European Courts including successfully representing Sky in the first passing off case to reach the UK's highest court (the Supreme Court) in over 25 years (Starbucks v. For the first 13 years of his career Gary worked in Hong Kong and headed up the Litigation Departments of two of the leading firms there. Karel Daele

Karel is a partner and head of the International Arbitration practice. He started his career as a civil law litigator in Belgium, before moving to Tanzania where he devoted most of his time to representing African states and state-owned companies in a number of investor-state disputes under the ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules in the water and the energy sector. He has worked internationally, advising multinationals on investing in Africa's mining, infrastructure, telecom and energy sector.Karel continues to focus on African investor-state disputes, although now acts more on the investor side, as exemplified by his work for BSGR in an ICSID arbitration against Guinea (a mining dispute involving allegations of corruption and one of the biggest claims in recent years). Richard is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution department, who advises on commercial disputes, often with international and fraud elements, with a particular specialisation in insurance.Richard advises individual and institutional funds clients on claims arising from investments in rights issues and other corporate investments under FSMA s90 and s 90A, and is involved in some of the leading cases in this developing area, for example advising Scottish Widows and others in their claims in the RBS rights issue litigation.
