Ana Maria Arrarte leads the dispute resolution and arbitration practice in the Firm's Lima office. She is knowledgeable in law of civil procedure, arbitration, negotiation and conciliation. She has represented during the last 10 years procedures such as civil judicial, related with important public works and energy in the country. Her broadened experience concerning disputes resolutions and prevention of conflicts, in general, is strengthened by her studies in Negotiation at Harvard University.

Andrea is an experienced dispute resolution lawyer with over ten years of experience. She actively represents the Peruvian State as well as private and public entities in international and domestic arbitrations in highly regulated sectors, especially energy, concessions and construction, with seats in Europe, USA and Latin America, under the most important arbitration rules (ICSID, ICC, UNCITRAL, CIAC, among others). Andrea completed her master's degree in international arbitration at the University of Miami, having been awarded the White & Case/Carolyn B. Lamm Full Tuition Scholarship and the Baker McKenzie Graduate Legal Study Scholarship. She is committed to the improvement of arbitration, founding a nonprofit organization to promote best practices in the area, coaching young law students who participate in international arbitration competitions (Moots), actively participating as a speaker in events and panels, and publishing books and articles on the subject.

Provides advisory services to national and foreign companies. Advises on contentious processes before the National Superintendency of Tax Administration (SUNAT) and the Tax Court. Additionally, assists in consulting and procedures related to free trade agreements (FTA), regional and plurilateral agreements (Andean Community, Pacific Alliance, World Trade Organization, among others). Their practice includes representing companies in non-tariff trade barrier procedures, safeguards, and dumping before the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI).
