Markus Alder

Markus Alder has been a Partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2012. He specializes in corporate and commercial, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital as well as insolvency and restructurings. He advises his clients with regard to the incorporation of companies in Switzer-land, the drafting and negotiating of agreements and concerning the complex questions that may arise in the context of the acquisition or sale of a company. Michael Bösch

Michael Bösch

Michael Bösch has been a Partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2011. He is specialized in international commercial, investment treaty and sport arbitration, in particular under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution but also ad hoc. In doing so, Michael acts primarily as counsel, increasingly also as arbitrator. In addition, he represents clients in state litigation. His additional expertise is corporate and commercial law where he represents domestic and foreign clients. Martin Bürkle has considerable experience in negotiating and drafting contracts on all aspects of corporate and commercial matters.  Moreover, Martin Bürkle is a certified specialist in torts and insurance law of the Swiss Bar association and has vast experience in the fields of liability law, social insurance and insurance contract law. Besides his advisory role he frequently represents his clients in court. 
Simon Hohler

Simon Hohler

Simon Hohler is a Partner at Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte in Zug and Zurich, Switzerland. Simon Hohler specializes in advising and representing clients in commercial disputes as well as in contract law matters. In addition, he regularly acts as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings and advises companies and individuals in commercial law matters. His practice focuses in particular on domestic and international commercial arbitration and state court litigation as well as in enforcement and legal assistance matters. He frequently represents clients in disputes concerning contract and commercial law, torts and insurance law, construction law, M&A transactions as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy law. Simon Hohler has been involved in numerous institutional arbitrations (e.g. Swiss Arbitration Centre, ICC, CAS and HKIAC) and ad hoc arbitrations where he advised parties or acted as counsel or arbitrator (sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairman). He is co-chair of the ASA Local Group Central Switzerland and recognized by Chambers and Partners for his work as arbitrator as well as by Lexology (Who's Who Legal) as a "Future Leader" in arbitration. He is also an arbitrator on the arbitrator list of the VQF Financial Services Standards Association. Thomas Loher

Thomas Loher

T Thomas Loher has been a Partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2006. He specializes in corporate and employment law. Thomas has many years of experience in all aspects of employment law where he advises employers and private individuals (mainly senior management). In this field, he has also substantial experience in relocation, immigration and secondment matters. His corporate practice regularly includes M&A transactions, restructurings and corporate governance questions; he is presently also board member of various Swiss companies. In addition, Thomas established a close relationship with various private clients whom he advises on a great variety of legal aspects. Traditionally, he has also a strong affinity for sports related legal issues.   Thomas Loher has served as Managing Partner at the firm since 2026, having previously held this role from 2018 until the end of 2021. He was previously responsible for Human Resources and served as the firm’s CFO for several years.

Raphael Meier

Raphael F. Meier is Counsel at Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte. His practice focuses on commercial dispute resolution and contract law. In dispute resolution, he specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration (Swiss Rules, ICC, WIPO). As a mediator SCCM / UMCH he also supports parties in mediation proceedings, either as party representative or mediator. Raphael Meier's dispute resolution practice covers a broad range of commercial disputes, including general contract law, international trade and commercial law, insurance law, construction law, distribution and licensing law, unfair competition and intellectual property law and M&A transactions. His advisory work focuses on distribution law and intellectual property law, in particular in connection with ICT contracts. Raphael Meier is a member of the board of the European Lawyers' Association.

Arlette Pfister

Arlette Pfister is a Partner at Thouvenin Attorneys at Law. Her preferred areas of practice include corporate law, commercial law, employment law, and contract law. She has a particular focus on advising international corporations on restructurings, as well as counseling companies and corporate groups on complex and general corporate law matters, including the planning and implementation of business successions. Patrick Rohn

Patrick Rohn has been a partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2013. He specializes in domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on disputes relating to distribution, licensing, commercial and corporate transactions and relations. Patrick has advised and acted as counsel in international arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, WIPO and Swiss Rules for companies from various sectors, including the pharmaceutical, medical devices, technology, engineering, and trade sectors. Moreover, Patrick frequently represents parties in complex contractual, corporate (incl. post-M&A, joint venture, directors' liability, shareholder agreements) and insolvency related disputes up to the Appeal Court and the Federal Supreme Court, and he has considerable expertise related to cross-border asset tracing and recovery, and the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.     In his preferred areas of practice, Patrick also regularly advises clients on non-contentious matters, and he frequently drafts and negotiates distribution, agency and license agreements.  
Sandra Spirig

Sandra Spirig

Sandra Spirig has been a Partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2019. She specializes in Swiss and international inheritance law, offering advice to Swiss and foreign private clients on estate planning (wills, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, inheritance agreements and foundations) and on the handling of estates. She further represents clients in inheritance litigation before national authorities and courts. Her other areas of expertise include matrimonial property and divorce law, child and adoption law, adult protection law (advance care directives and living wills) as well as association and foundation law. Daniel Stoll has been a partner at Thouvenin since 1994. His professional focus was originally on dispute resolution and litigation, primarily in the areas of contract, tort, banking and inheritance law, followed by a phase with numerous corporate law and M&A transactions. Today, Daniel mainly advises companies and families as their Outside General Counsel with a focus on governance and succession planning as well as on dispute resolution and procedural-strategic issues. His experience covers post-M&A, joint venture and shareholder disputes as well as disputes in the insurance, sports and real estate industry. In addition, he regularly represents clients in proceedings for interim measures, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and cross-border asset tracing. David Trachsel has a particular focus on bankruptcy and insolvency related litigation, on which he has written a doctoral thesis.

Sebastian C.
