Hansjörg Stutzer

Hansjörg founded Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte together with André Thouvenin in 1983. He acted as chairman, sole arbitrator (party appointed and appointed by arbitration institutions), party-appointed arbitrator, counsel and co-counsel in over 160 international and national arbitrations under the rules of ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, CAS, Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution, Vienna International Arbitral Centre, Zurich Chamber of Commerce, Slovak Arbitration Court and ad hoc.

Julien Boulter

Julien Boulter's practice focuses on dispute resolution. Further, he represents and advises clients regarding contract and commercial law, employment law, white collar crime as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy law.

Laura Mahler

Laura Mahler has been an Associate with Thouvenin since 2023. Prior to joining us, she worked as a Junior Associate at a renowned Swiss business law firm in Bern and gained experience as trainee law clerk at the Superior Court of the Canton of Bern as well as the Governor's Office of Thun. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration as well as contract law.

Markus Alder

Markus specializes in corporate and commercial, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital as well as insolvency and restructurings. He advises his clients with regard to the incorporation of companies in Switzerland, the drafting and negotiating of agreements and concerning the complex questions that may arise in the context of the acquisition or sale of a company. Markus Alder has also considerable expertise in employment law matters and the relocation of companies to Switzerland (including the obtaining of work and residence permits).

Martin Bürkle

Martin Bürkle has been a Partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2016. He specializes in corporate and commercial, mergers & acquisitions as well as joint venture projects and restructurings. As certified Specialist SBA Torts and Insurance Law, Martin Bürkle has also longstanding experience in liability law, social insurance and insurance contract law concerning advisory and forensic matters. Michael Bösch

Michael Bösch is Managing Partner of Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2022. He is specialized in arbitration as well as in corporate and commercial. Particularly in commercial disputes, he has extensive expertise in national and international arbitration conducted under the most common rules such as ICC, LCIA and Swiss Rules but also ad hoc. In doing so, Michael acts primarily as counsel, increasingly as arbitrator. He also represents clients in civil law litigation. His additional expertise is corporate and commercial. Nicola Orlando

Nicola Orlando has been an Associate with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2022. Prior to joining us, he was a law clerk at the District Court of Zurich and the High Court of the Canton of Zurich. Patrick Rohn

Patrick Rohn has been a partner with THOUVENIN rechtsanwälte since 2013. He specializes in domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on disputes relating to distribution, licensing, unfair competition, and general commercial. Patrick has advised and acted as counsel in international arbitrations under the ICC, WIPO, UNCITRAL, and Swiss Rules for companies from various sectors, including the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, technology, and trade sectors. Pius Bumann

Pius Bumann has been a Partner with Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte since 2018. He practices primarily in the areas of inheritance law and succession planning, matrimonial property and divorce law, adult protection law, contract law as well as civil procedure law. Besides his advisory role he frequently represents his clients in court. Pius Bumann is a certified specialist SBA in inheritance law. He holds the notary patent of the Canton of Wallis and is a Swiss-certified banking expert with Federal Diploma. His broad experience and knowledge in the aforementioned and related areas of expertise enables Pius Bumann to comprehensively identify and meet the needs of his wealthy clients in a connected manner.

Raphael Meier

Raphael specializes in domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration as well as in enforcement and legal assistance matters. His practice focuses on distribution, licensing, unfair competition and intellectual property law. In these fields, Raphael also advises clients on non-contentious matters. Further, Raphael represents clients in contractual, corporate and insolvency related disputes and has expertise related to the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

Rolf Schuler

Due to his former function as judge, Rolf is an acknowledged specialist in questions of domestic and international litigation and resolving of disputes. He has extensive and longstanding experience in bankruptcy proceedings, also as FINMA appointed bankruptcy liquidator and administrator. He further advises and represents his clients in white collar crime proceedings as well as in inheritance and employment matters.

Sandra Spirig

Sandra specializes in Swiss and international inheritance law, offering advice to Swiss and foreign private clients on estate planning (wills, pre- and postnuptial agreements, inheritance agreements and foundations) and on the handling of estates. She further represents clients in inheritance litigation before national authorities and courts. Her other areas of expertise include matrimonial property and divorce law, child and adoption law, adult protection law (advance care directives and living wills) as well as association and foundation law. Simon Hohler
