Before joining the partners’ team at Ellex, Dr. Šarūnas Keserauskas served as Chairman of the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania for two consecutive terms (2011-2023). Prior to that, he gained legal advisor experience at ‘Ellex’ from 1998 to 2009 and then worked as senior legal advisor at the UK Office of Fair Trading. Dr. Šarūnas Keserauskas is widely recognized as one of the Baltic states’ most respected competition law professionals. He was awarded the Cross of the Knight of the Order ‘For Merits to Lithuania’. President Dalia Grybauskaitė presented him with the Order as an overall recognition of the work and efforts of the Competition Council team. During his tenure, the Competition Council was of the most professional institutions in the world. While leading the Competition Council, Šarūnas also served as the leader of several EU technical support projects in Georgia, Ukraine, and Egypt. Dr. Keserauskas has been teaching competition law for more than 20 years, starting at the Riga Graduate School of Law (2000-2005) and, since 2005, at Vilnius University, where he currently holds the position of partnership professor.
