Britt Beumer
Britt Beumer
Britt joined Fruytier Lawyers in Business in 2023 as a paralegal. From from 28 February 2024 she was sworn in as an attorney. In 2022, she completed her master’s degree in law at VU University Amsterdam. Here she combined the majors Private Law and Internet, Intellectual Property Law and ICT. During her bachelor, she spent a semester studying at Aberystwyth University in Wales and her interest in Intellectual Property Law was sparked. To deepen and develop further in this area of law, she gained relevant work experience at two firms specialising in Intellectual Property Law, among others. In her spare time, Britt enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also considers it important to keep fit, so you can often find her at the gym after work.
Floris Krijt
Floris Krijt
Floris completed the Master’s degree in Private Law Practice at the University of Amsterdam. The emphasis here was on corporate and contract law. During his studies, he completed internships at both a law firm and a notary’s office. He also worked for a fintech investment firm and a digital platform for legal services for entrepreneurs. With this knowledge and experience, Floris is able to listen and think along, in order to arrive at a tailor-made legal solution. After working as a paralegal, Floris was sworn in as a lawyer on August 30, 2023. Floris will primarily deal with corporate and contract disputes. In his spare time, Floris is heavily involved in music. Since childhood he has been active as a drummer and percussionist. He can also regularly be found on the tennis or padel court.
Hugo Roelink
Hugo Roelink
Hugo graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2020, specialising in corporate law. In addition to his law studies, he also completed an economics degree, with finance as his major. During his studies, Hugo worked at several law firms, including a niche firm specialising in corporate law. He then worked for several years at an investor advocacy firm and worked at the university as a tutor in an international master’s programme. This broad base combined with an interest in complex legal problems enables him to support clients well. In his spare time, Hugo is an avid cyclist and water sportsman.

Joël de Bruijn
Joël has completed his English-taught Master's degree in International and European Trade and Investment Law at the University of Amsterdam in 2018. Before his masters, Joel obtained bachelor's degrees in Dutch law, also at the University of Amsterdam and Economics and business economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Joël also lived in New York for seven months. There he interned at the economic department of the Dutch Consulate General. As an intern, he was partly responsible for advising startup companies that wanted to expand to the Northeast of the United States of America. In New York he first noticed that he was fascinated by the multitude of legal challenges faced by the entrepreneurs. Because of that fascination, he decided to focus on a career in the legal profession upon his return to the Netherlands. Joël is keen to make the complex aspects of the law understandable for the entrepreneurial person. He is passionate about learning and always hungry for new knowledge and experiences. He also follows the news closely and likes to travel to distant countries.

In 2023 Jop is 30 years practising as a lawyer. During his carreer Jops focus has been with corporate law in the broadest sense, not in the least because he himself is an entrepreneur since 2008. He practices contract law more specifically in the IT industry. He recently successfully completed the specialist (post graduation) course in IT law at the Grotius Academy. Further his services are retained as external legal compliance officer with an emphasis on privacy and data protection law.

Judy Sliepen
Judy’s background is the most surprising of all team members. After graduating in Dutch law from Utrecht University in 2005, she started her career at a specialist Amsterdam law firm. Despite the content and inspiring clients, she decided to make room for her creativity and love for design. After a successful retraining program at the Artemis Fashion Academy in Rotterdam, she had a promising career as a fashion designer at several international fashion brands. Still, the intellectual challenges of the legal field continued to draw. From this perspective, she decided to return to the sector. She has now succeeded in finding both her creativity and her need for depth within employment law. It is her versatile background that gives her a broad view of things. She is most fascinated by the individual aspect of each case. Each client has his or her own personal motivation to resolve an issue. This point of view means every case remains a legal challenge. In addition, as a certified yoga teacher, she provides weekly yoga classes for interested colleagues in the office.
Koen  Wanders
Koen Wanders
Koen Wanders has been appointed partner at our firm as of 1 January 2024. His practice focuses on commercial rental and real estate law and mergers and acquisitions in corporate law. Koen graduated in Dutch civil law from the VU university in Amsterdam mid-2013. During his studies, he gained relevant work experience at several national and international law firms and at a major Dutch bank. Before starting as a lawyer at Fruytier Lawyers in Business, he worked for two years as a lawyer at Fellinger Corporate Law in Amsterdam. Koen specialises in corporate and real estate law and advises on mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and all kinds of real estate matters with a focus on commercial lease law and real estate transactions. He has also gained experience in advising on the development of large-scale solar parks in the Netherlands through a client secondment. A team player with a goal-oriented mindset, Koen stands out for his conscientiousness and his organisational and communication skills. Koen is a member of the Vereniging van Huurrecht Advocaten (VHA), the specialist association of tenancy law lawyers recognised by the Dutch Bar Association, and successfully completed the associated postgraduate specialist course in 2022. Koen loves cooking, travelling, Ajax and all ball sports. You can often find him on the hockey field or the padel court. He does not shy away from other sporting challenges either: he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and ran the Amsterdam marathon. Mignon de Vries
Mignon de Vries
Lawyer Mignon de Vries has been with Fruytier Lawyers in Business since 2001. Her practice covers a wide variety of areas in the field of civil litigation. She distinguishes as a litigation lawyer because of her determination always to solve a case or win a procedure. According to her a successful litigator needs to be highly skilled in applying smart and feasible strategies. To achieve this result you need much more expertise than merely a good knowledge of law, because ultimately it is the law which determines what is possible or not. Winning a big case is the ultimate award for her all the hard work done. To ensure these successes Mignon Meermans is extremely careful not only to rely on her extensive experience. She continues taking on board litigation training to ensure her clients to be always completely up-to-date. To be prepared for every case big or small and to face any opponent at the other side of the table. Mignon has acted in a large number of complex disputes relating to liability of board of directors, shareholders agreements, participation agreements, statutes, acquisition, (international) contracts, (complex) debt collection, seizure and foreclosure, and subject matters comprising the full range of securities law (pledge, mortgage and bail) and financial law. As an avid winter sport’s fan and with the same enthusiastic energy she conducts business Mignon supports as well the organisation of the office’s regular winter sport’s vacation.

Ravinder Sukul
Ravinder completed his master’s degree in Private Law: Commercial Legal Practice at the UvA in Amsterdam in July 2021. His interest in corporate law developed during his bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Utrecht. To prepare himself for corporate law practice, he also studied the (business) economics and corporate law disciplines. Consequently, he took elective courses such as economics & business economics, principles of microeconomics and also mergers, acquisitions & joint ventures to broaden this knowledge. In February 2022, Ravinder started as a student intern at Fruytier Lawyers in Business and he immediately liked both the working atmosphere and the work! This proved to be mutual so Ravinder immediately continued working as a paralegal. As a paralegal he focused on the corporate law practice and Mergers & Acquisitions. After working as a paralegal for quite some time, Ravinder was sworn in as an attorney on August 30, 2023. His expertise will further focus on several essential pillars of corporate law: Mergers and Acquisitions, shareholder and board disputes and corporate governance. In his spare time, Ravinder enjoys socializing. He also finds vitality important and can therefore regularly be found in the gym. He has also been dancing kizomba (a partner dance, like salsa or bachata) for three years.
