Chris has significant asset finance experience, principally involving aviation and rail, where clients have included the Department for Transport, transport specialist banks, and owner-lessors and operating lessees of planes and rolling stock. Chris also has a strong working knowledge of restructuring, enforcement and insolvency matters. Chris studied Law at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2003.  He qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and spent the first eight years of his career with the London office of a “Magic Circle” law firm.  This period included client secondments to the securitisation transaction execution team of a major international bank and to the in-house legal team of a rolling stock owner-lessor.  More recently, Chris was a Partner with an award-winning regional law firm before joining Gateley Legal in January 2020.
