I am a solicitor in the Property Finance team. I specialise in a specialist property sector and advise a wide range of lenders on taking security over investment properties (such as buy-to-let residential commercial, mixed use) and property portfolios. To achieve the desired outcome on any transaction I am always keen to have all parties working together and I adopt a proactive attitude and take a commercial view where possible. I aim to respond quickly on all matters and I prioritise open communication and collaborative relationships to achieve successful completions.

I am a solicitor in the Commercial Property & Planning department. I have almost 10 years’ experience in property law, acting for a range of clients in respect of: sales and purchases of residential properties; sales and purchases of commercial and mixed use properties; property development (buying land for development, planning agreements, services easements etc. and the subsequent sales); commercial leases, including assignments and surrenders; property finance; and title issues (including deeds of variation and covenant advice). I specialise in new build conveyancing, acting for national and regional housebuilders in the sale of new build residential properties. My experience in development work means I can fully set up sites for selling plots off-plan, pre-empting the enquiries buyers may rise so that the process is as streamlined as possible. My team and I work hard to ensure contracts are exchanged at the earliest opportunity. We get to know our developer clients and the sites they are working on, whether these are small developments of a few plots or very large sites. I am accredited under the Residential Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

I am a Senior Associate in the Wills, Trusts & Estates and Succession Planning team, based in Paris Smith’s Winchester office. I specialise in: Wills, including reviewing existing Wills and preparation of first or new Wills, for individuals and couples; Estate and succession planning, including advice on inheritance tax and capital gains tax and strategies to protect and provide for the next generation; Powers of Attorney, including preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney; Estate administration; Variations of Estates; and Trusts, including their set-up, administration, and wind-up, as well as their capital taxation. I have a particular interest in advising farming clients, landowners and their families in planning and structuring their estates, drafting their Wills, and advising on succession planning, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax mitigation, with the aim of a smooth handover to the next generation. I listen to my clients’ needs and enjoy using my experience and knowledge to help them achieve their wishes, or to advise them as to their options. I aim to provide clear and precise advice, tailored to the requirements of my clients. I trained at a firm in Hertfordshire and since qualifying have worked at firms in the Hampshire and Thames Valley areas.
