Des Williams
Des Williams is a director of Werksmans. He is experienced in all fields of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including international litigation, arbitration and mediation. Des has extensive experience in major review proceedings, including reviews of decisions of regulatory boards and awards in arbitration proceedings. Other fields of expertise include constitutional law, telecommunications law and gambling and gaming law. Des has been involved in many of the largest and most complex litigation and arbitration matters in South Africa.

Graeme Wickins has been a Director at Werksmans Attorneys since 2016 in the Competition and  Media, Communications & Technology practice areas. He specialises in obtaining of approval for mergers and takeovers from the competition authorities in South Africa and throughout Africa including Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and with supranational African competition authorities including CEMAC and COMESA, providing competition law advice in regard to alleged anti-competitive conduct such as cartels, minimum resale price maintenance and abuses of dominance, conducting specialised competition compliance audits and providing focused competition law training including workshops and face to face training and developing compliance programmes, including search and seizure (dawn raid) guidelines and "mock" dawn raid simulations.

Ryan Killoran is a Director in the Tax practice area. He specialises in taxation of domestic and cross-border financial instruments and investment products; private equity fund formation and tax structuring for international investment funds; private equity deal structuring; and mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations of corporate entities. He also is deeply experienced in international tax planning for corporates (including controlled foreign companies; double tax agreements; financial services taxation; offshore acquisition financing structuring; foreign trusts; transfer pricing and thin capitalisation; taxation of local and offshore trusts); tax litigation; alternative dispute resolution; and settlements.
