She is part of the corporate M&A practice focusing on general corporate law related issues. Annebelle obtained a master’s degree in Dutch Law at Tilburg University, focusing on contracts and liability law.

Bart Jan Hermans

Bart Jan specialises in dispute resolution both in the public courts and in arbitration. He advises directors and supervisory board members in extensive and high-profile liability proceedings. In addition, Bart Jan is involved in a wide range of both corporate and commercial proceedings, including shareholder disputes, post-M&A proceedings, trade disputes, inquiry proceedings and various summary proceedings. Bart Jan thereby focuses in particular on cases with a financial background, including proceedings on misleading financial reporting and related investigations.

Chris conducts a very extensive litigation practice where he assists companies, investors and banks in commercial and corporate disputes – often with a cross border element. Particularly experienced in matters at the intersection of corporate, commercial and insolvency law.

Claire Overduijn

Claire’s practice focuses on corporate law, in particular on M&A and commercial contracts. She advises on domestic and cross-border M&A as well as on general transactional and corporate matters.

Daphne specializes in private international law (PIL) involving insolvency law, the law of obligations and business law. Daphne advises and litigates on a variety of matters regarding (in particular) the international jurisdiction of courts, the applicable law and the recognition and enforcement of foreign decisions or arbitral awards, including (prejudgment) attachments. She is regularly appointed by the court as trustee in bankruptcies and provides counsel to clients, creditors, and prospective buyers in (impending) bankruptcy situations.

David van Kessel

David specialises in corporate law and focuses on mergers & acquisitions, governance, corporate restructurings, private equity and joint ventures. Furthermore, he advises on corporate law issues and drafting (commercial and corporate) contractual documentation.

Joost van Hilten

Joost specializes in corporate law, with a particular focus on (cross-border) mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance advice.

Joris provides counsel to stakeholders of businesses facing imminent or actual bankruptcies. He also advises clients on debt restructurings, securities, and directors’ liability, and has specific expertise in restarts (doorstarts) out of bankruptcy. Joris is frequently appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as a receiver and has extensive experience managing large-scale moratoriums and bankruptcies. As an expert on the Dutch Act on the Confirmation of Private Restructuring Plans (WHOA), he is available to serve as a restructuring expert (herstructureringsdeskundige) and observer (observator).

Joris advises and litigates on a variety of employment law topics, including dismissals, collective redundancies, investigations, remuneration issues and works council issues.

Jurgen van den Heuvel

Jurgen van den Heuvel is an associate in Florent’s Insolvency and Restructuring team. He advises and litigates in the area of insolvency law and is also regularly appointed by the court as bankruptcy trustee. Aside from insolvency and restructuring, he is also active in matters relating to international asset tracing and recovery and civil fraud litigation. Jurgen is a permanent contributor to the Tijdschrift voor Curatoren (Journal for bankruptcy trustees).

Kees van de Meent
