Bart Jan specialises in dispute resolution both in the public courts and in arbitration. He advises directors and supervisory board members in extensive and high-profile liability proceedings. In addition, Bart Jan is involved in a wide range of both corporate and commercial proceedings, including shareholder disputes, post-M&A proceedings, trade disputes, inquiry proceedings and various summary proceedings. Bart Jan thereby focuses in particular on cases with a financial background, including proceedings on misleading financial reporting and related investigations.

Daphne specializes in private international law (PIL) involving insolvency law, the law of obligations and business law. Daphne advises and litigates on a variety of matters regarding (in particular) the international jurisdiction of courts, the applicable law and the recognition and enforcement of foreign decisions or arbitral awards, including (prejudgment) attachments.  She is regularly appointed by the court as trustee in bankruptcies and provides counsel to clients, creditors, and prospective buyers in (impending) bankruptcy situations.

Joris provides counsel to stakeholders of businesses facing imminent or actual bankruptcies. He also advises clients on debt restructurings, securities, and directors’ liability, and has specific expertise in restarts (doorstarts) out of bankruptcy.  Joris is frequently appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as a receiver and has extensive experience managing large-scale moratoriums and bankruptcies. As an expert on the Dutch Act on the Confirmation of Private Restructuring Plans (WHOA), he is available to serve as a restructuring expert (herstructureringsdeskundige) and observer (observator).
