Daphne Beunk
Daphne Beunk
Daphne is a member of the dispute resolution and insolvency law practice groups. She advises on and litigates a variety of issues related to the law of obligations, private international law (PIL), business law and insolvency law. She is regularly appointed by the court as receiver in bankruptcies. Daphne is a lecturer at Radboud University. Daphne is an editorial member of the magazine ‘Financiering, Zekerheden en Insolventiepraktijk’ (FIP) and is co-author at the ‘Groene Serie’, commenting the Insolvency regulation (recast) and articles 203-205 Fw. She publishes and is (JOR-) annotator in the field of private international law with a focus on international insolvency law. She is also one of the authors of the Dutch chapter of the ‘Chambers Global Practice Guide on Litigation 2023.

Emille Buziau
Emille has gained broad experience in the field of corporate and commercial litigation. He represents shareholders, managing directors, supervisory directors, companies and other stakeholders in a wide range of cases. Varying from M&A litigation, emergency financing and inquiry proceedings to summary proceedings regarding the performance of an agreement. Emille also regularly deals with seizure of evidence, enforcement disputes, disclosure proceedings, and complex procedural law issues. Emille’s services are often engaged at a phase in which proceedings can still be avoided. He is regularly involved, for instance, in settling joint ventures that have come to a head.

Hanneke is co-managing partner of the firm and co-head of the Insolvency and Restructuring team. She also has extensive experience in the areas of banking, financing and security rights. Hanneke is regularly appointed by the Amsterdam court as bankruptcy trustee or administrator in high-profile and complex insolvencies. She also works for companies facing financial difficulties or insolvency or their stakeholders. In addition, she regularly represents clients in major (corporate/commercial) litigation inter alia on insolvency related matters such as directors’ and shareholders’liability. Hanneke has a seat on the Insolvency Law Committee of the Netherlands Bar Association (Adviescommissie Insolventierecht), a committee of the Netherlands Bar Association that advises the Minister of Justice on draft bills in the area of insolvency law. She also has a seat on the review committee (Toetsingscommissie) of the Dutch Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD) that handles complaints against members and she is a member of the editorial staff of Tijdschrift voor Curatoren (Journal for bankruptcy trustees).

Admitted to the bar in 2013, Joris specializes in insolvency law. He counsels (stakeholders of) businesses faced with (imminent) bankruptcies. Joris also advises his clients on (WHOA) restructurings, securities and directors' liability. Joris is regularly appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as receiver and has extensive experience in handling large-scale moratoriums and bankruptcies. He is an expert on the Dutch Act on the Confirmation of Private Restructuring Plans (WHOA) and is available to fulfill the role of restructuring expert and observer. He is also one of the authors of the Dutch chapter of the 'Chambers Global Practice Guide on Insolvency 2022'

He is active in restructuring and insolvency, as well as international asset tracing and recovery and civil fraud litigation. He has been involved as bankruptcy trustee for more than 25 years in various high-profile and complex insolvencies. He also acts as counsel to companies facing financial difficulties. In addition he has experience with pre-packs, both as counsel to the company and as court-appointed administrator.
