Daniel McCormack

Dan is a partner and member at Lupton Fawcett. He trained and qualified in the Leeds office of an international law firm, having resisted temptation to return to his native Lancashire. Dan joined the corporate finance department in 2007. He specialises in all types of mergers and acquisitions and management buy-outs. He also has extensive experience of a wide variety of group re-organisations, joint ventures and shareholders' agreements. Partner. Jeremy joined Lupton Fawcett in November 2014 to head the regulatory and corporate defence team. Jeremy has 25 years' experience of defending companies, from owner managed businesses to national blue chip names, as well as their directors and other senior employees, when facing regulatory criminal investigation or prosecution. His objective is always to protect the business and key personnel from the potential negative outcomes of an investigation or prosecution, whether financial, reputational or personal. Partner.  Julian is a highly experienced solicitor and tax adviser and has previously worked at international legal and accountancy firms in Leeds and London. Julian Rowden

Julian Rowden is a partner and member at Lupton Fawcett. Julian graduated in Law (with a language) from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1980 and after living in Germany for a time where he taught English as a foreign language, he returned and qualified as a solicitor in 1986. After working for a City firm for several years where he specialised in commercial property, and a short spell working in the South-West of England, Julian and his family moved to Sheffield, and he has now made the Yorkshire city his home. Julian has extensive experience in dealing with commercial property of all types, and some of the projects he has been involved in have changed the face of Sheffield. He has particular experience in the leisure and retail sectors including acquisitions and disposals of hotels, restaurants and leisure centres, also leases of retail shops in both high street locations and in all the leading shopping centres across England, and with commercial and industrial premises including relocation of factories, including new builds with ancillary agreements for leases and collateral warranties. He has also dealt with complex site assembly and constructions of new developments of all sizes including brownfield and reclaimed sites and agricultural land, with all associated option agreements and overage agreements, especially former Coal Authority sites. He is well versed in the negotiation as well as the legal drafting. Kevin Emsley

Chairman, finance director and consultant member. Kevin joined Lupton Fawcett in 1977 as an Articled Clerk. He trained as a non-contentious lawyer, qualifying in 1979, eventually specialising in corporate finance and is now a director in the corporate finance department as well as finance director and chairman. Kevin has experience of all types of commercial law but has principally dealt with sales and purchases of the whole (or parts) of businesses, re-structuring, and fund raising (largely for owner managed businesses in Yorkshire). Recent activities have included some public company and M&A work for Renew Holdings plc (a Leeds based AIM listed company), corporate advice for Seabrook Crisps (a local privately owned business), and corporate and commercial advice for Hubwise Holdings (a recent start up financial services support business). In addition, over the years, Kevin has developed a speciality for advising charitable entities on their corporate and governance structures, including Hollybank Trust, the National Day Nurseries Association, Scarborough College and, recently, PSL which is responsible for the new Tetleys building in Leeds.

Lionel is a leading national specialist in ecclesiastical law as the Deputy Registrar for both the Diocese and Province of York and Registrar of Sodor and Man. Most of Louise's clients are employers, but she does also advise and support senior executives negotiating their exit from an organisation. Richard Marshall

Partner. Richard joined the firm in 1992 and was appointed to the firm's management board with responsibility for marketing. He headed the firm's insolvency and business recovery department until taking over as the firm's managing director in April 2009. As a leader and manager, Richard is dedicated to driving Lupton Fawcett's strategy. As a lawyer, Richard is an insolvency and business recovery specialist, having qualified with DLA in 1987. Whilst currently having little time to practice law, Richard does advise on strategic issues (in insolvency and more widely), and leads a number of client relationships (both large and small). As a marketer, Richard is particularly interested in and passionate about brand. However, she has always undertaken residential conveyancing too and so is pleased to be able to deal with the property aspects of an estate whether this be deeds of gift or estate related transfers or sales. Tricia has also had strong links with Sheffield Mencap and Gateway for 20 years and is very proud of that connection.
